Re: Default to default

How do you come to the conclusion that "most" sites are already trusted? If you visit any website, the overlay (when you click the icon near the adress bar once) shows you that most of those sites are in the default set. In the options on the other hand (when you click options icon in the overlay, o...

Re: NoScript, Firefox, and Bing.com

I'm using NoScript 10.1.6.3 on Firefox Developer 58.0b15 (64-bit) on Windows 10. For some reason, I'm having trouble getting NoScript and Bing.com to work together. To get Bing to work, I have to either globally allow Javascript or disable NoScript. While on the www.bing.com, the NoScript icon show...

Re: "temporary allow" not temporary...

...you can remove the preinstalled permissions for default pages in the options. Where do I find permissions for default pages? in version 10.1.6.3 at the top of the options page. You aren't supposed to move domains from untrusted to temp allow anyway. The untrusted list is for domains that you kno...

Re: Changing Red Lock to Green Lock Is Not Accepted

If you want to visit a site that only serves an http website, changing the rule to a greenlock creates a rule, but not for the content you wanted. It is a rule that applies to the https variant of that site, regardless of whether it exists or not. Which is why on reload, it looks like no rules was ...

Re: "temporary allow" not temporary...

You aren't supposed to move domains from untrusted to temp allow anyway. The untrusted list is for domains that you know you don't trust, not even temporary. This is why temporary rules revert to default afterwards, because that is the list that pages are on that you haven't decided yet, or have cha...

Re: NoScript redirects Twitter on FF to mobile site

I've just spent 20 minutes trying to deal with this problem. I've been temporarily allowing ...twitter.com and ...twimg.com, but it still redirected. It wasn't until I went into options and also temporarily allowed https://twitter.com that it stopped. Smells like a bug to me? Can't confirm. Setting...

Just to clarify (I'm even afraid to ask):

That is the debug output from a working secondary profile, not the broken installation you have problems with?

Re: What Do the 3 Dots in the Tools Site Names Replace?

Thank you for replying. I have been using NoScript since version 10 came out and am just beginning to understand how to set it up. Using the examples I provided, why is "http://www.aomeitech.com" listed if that URL is already matched by the entry "...aomeitech.com"? Can you explain that to me or ma...

Re: 10.1.6.2 DEFAULT?

Also, setting in Options for Trusted shows everything checked by default: script, media, webgl, frame, font etc., not just script. This is really not cool. Everything besides script should be opt-in not opt-out. Hope this will be changed in later release. Why? That is the behaviour you WANT when se...

Re: 10.1.6.2 DEFAULT?

This is changed in the latest developer build. But in the build you have , you can set any site to default, click on default again to open the checkmarks, and then change it back. My post was originally written on 57.0.3 (see screenshot.) If your reply is based on seeing my current user agent, plea...

Re: New UI usability

I found the old UI more usable in that I could click on the NoScript icon, and then select the domains that I wanted to enable one after another, in a series of quick actions; my selections were temporary. With the new UI, I have to open each Custom setting, the click on the resource category (e.g....
