Re: Noscript Quantum - UI change request

I've posted similar over here: https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=23735 There's a really nice UI suggestion post here: https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=23751 In fact, I'm going to "hack" the UI if the UI suggestion doesn't take. :p And I'm not sure if the auto-r...

Re: Some Suggestions

Suggestions about the new UI: The old UI, it was fine, amazing, wonderful, great job guys, I had no problems with it. If you insist on cramming down a change in peoples throats, please leaving an option to revert to old and reliable. Change alone, for its own sake, is not enough reason to change an...

Re: Some Suggestions

I was going to mention updated icons but hadn't had the time to make up an example. This poster here has a really nice idea!

Re: NoScript 10 UI suggestions

I was actually going to suggest an icon update. These look great (though the settings icon is a bit large)!

Re: 10: XSS popup

XSS is Cross-Site Scripting. Basically, using javascript from another domain. From what I've seen, the best way to avoid those is to go to the actual site and set that site to Trusted/Untrusted. The pop-up usually only appears if the remote site doesn't have any permissions set. There are some excep...

Re: Some Suggestions

Perhaps I'm confused on this. It was my understanding that "Temporarily Allow All This Page" allowed all scripts, even remote ones. What I'm referring to is only those at the current domain.

Some Suggestions

If it's OK, I'd like to make a few suggestions regarding the new UI: Rather than the having the "Temporary" clock icon nested within the "Trusted" option, have a separate icon/button for Temporarily Trusted. As is, it takes two clicks to mark it Temporarily Trusted. The latest update has a few issue...

Re: Missing option in new NoScript - subdomains

Sub-domains are automatically allowed if the domain is marked as Trusted and it uses HTTPS. If it uses HTTP, you have to allow the sub-domains manually. (Might be able to use a custom rule, not sure). Honestly, it's sad that prominent web sites still aren't using HTTPS.

A Quick Guide for NoScript 10

I noticed a lot of people are confused on the new UI and I figured I'd copy my reply from one of the posts to make it easier to find. Due to the nature of Firefox's upgraded engine, extensions are limited to the WebExtension API. This limits their ability to manipulate the interface. Thus, many exte...

Re: I Give Up - It's Too Complicated

FANTASTIC. Why isn't there a key like this when I go into the NoScript options? It would be SO easy to put something in there, yet we're just expected to look at a completely new interface and just figure it out by trial & error or something. I created an account on here just so I could point this ...

Re: I Give Up - It's Too Complicated

The icons to the left of a domain determine its permissions. From left to right you have: - Default - This is the default state, scripts for that domain are blocked. - Trusted - Scripts for that domain are allowed. Note that when this active, you can control whether or not the permissions are perman...
