Re: ABE with local server that replaces block site with imag

Thanks for the reply. I tried your suggestion and now have: Site 127.0.0.1 Accept INCLUSION(IMAGE) Deny With this SYSTEM rule, any page with an image from a blocked site still gets the dummy image (instead of the blocked image). If I click on a link to a blocked site, or just type it in to the addre...

ABE with local server that replaces block site with image

I am using a local server that serves up a dummy image whenever the hosts file redirects a site to 127.0.0.1 so that when content is blocked, you can see the dummy image in the browser to let you know something was blocked. The problem I am having is that with ABE enabled, ABE sees the request as a ...

Does ABE Anonymize strip referer

2 questions: 1) Does ABE Anonymize strip the referer header? 2) Does ABE get control before HttpFox or after? The reason I ask is that HttpFox is showing the referer on a request that I thought should be cleaned by Anonymize. If ABE doesn't clean the referer header out, that would explain it. If it ...

Re: www.gocomics.com bug with NoScript installed

Thanks for the feedback! I changed my ABE rule to remove the asterisk. Also, I will try and remember to use the code tag next time. I agree that looks and works much better.

Re: www.gocomics.com bug with NoScript installed

Additional information to my last post: I think the script involved is: s7.addthis.com/js/300/addthis_widget.js So what I have done is to allow s7.addthis.com on a permanent basis in noscript, and then added the following ABE rules to (hopefully) allow the script to run when invoked from a gocomics....

Re: www.gocomics.com bug with NoScript installed

I just recently started having this problem too. I think gocomics changed how they do the enlarge/zoom feature. I am just another noscript user, but it appears to have something to do with 'addthis.com' scripts, which I don't normally allow. Not sure if there is a way around this without allowing ad...

Re: noscript.ajaxFallback.enabled

Giorgio and Thrawn, Security was my concern, so thanks for the update about that. I think I now understand what is going on, but I am curious about if it ever happens while I am browsing, and how often. Not asking for a feature, but if there is an existing way to tell when the fallback happens in so...

Re: noscript.ajaxFallback.enabled

Only thing I saw & maybe you can make sense of it? "+ AJAX fallback support via Google's _escaped_fragment_ recommendation, can be disabled by toggling the noscript.ajaxFallback.enabled preference (see https://code.google.com/web/ajaxcrawling/, thanks alexbobp for RFE)" I did see that...

noscript.ajaxFallback.enabled

What does the noscript.ajaxFallback.enabled option in about:config do? Basically, I have all google related scripts, including ajax related things, blocked. Surrogate support handles most issues related to that. My main concern is that this option will somehow be bypassing the blocks. In any case, w...

Re: ubs.com login hangs with ABE enabled

Hey - thanks for the info! I had not seen HTTP Fox before. I like how HTTP Fox organizes all of the data, so you can get right to the parts you want. Live HTTP Headers may have some other benefits, but HTTP Fox will serve my needs. And I won't have to remember to disable it when I am done using it. ...

Re: ubs.com login hangs with ABE enabled

Well, that wasn't so bad... Started in safe mode, all works fine (figured that since clean profile was fine) Started normal, disabled four extensions, all works fine Started normal, enabled two of the extensions, problem occurs. Anyway, it appears there is a conflict between NoScript (some versions)...

Re: ubs.com login hangs with ABE enabled

No - of course not! That would be too easy (for me that is) On a clean profile it works fine with 2.0.8.1rc1. I exported my noscript settings and imported them on the clean profile, and it still works fine. I have lots of changed firefox options and also other extensions, themes, plugins, etc. How w...

[RESOLVED] ubs.com login hangs with ABE enabled

Hi, I love noscript, but I am having a problem when I attempt to login in to the ubs online brokerage site at m edit: I am using firefox 3.6.13 After entering my id and password, the login page hangs and eventually times out with the standard firefox time out messages: The connection was reset The c...
