Thanks ever so much for bearing with me and my lack of knowledge on what is undoubtedly a simple task. Sorry I'm such a newbie at installing things in FX this way, CF. But when I drag the modified file onto the FX window, it just asks what do I want to open with, to which I reply "Firefox"...

Thanks for trying that for me, Alan. I, too found the meta-inf folder and deleted before recompressing. But I guess I just don't know how to install this way, as you can see by my last post.

Thanks for finding that thread. Glad it's not just me. :) I'm just learning Win7 and still "fumbling in the dark", but I did a Start, Search on META-INF and *.XPI and am finding no such files/directories on my new pc. Didn't see them using Explorer looking around in the Mozilla Firefox fol...
