Update v-10.1.8.23 will not stick in Firefox

I have Firefox 61.0.2 (64-bit) installed on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit). I have used NoScript forever without any big issues, and I update all of the systems religiously as new versions are pushed out. However, this latest version of NoScript does not seem to stay installed. It appears to install correc...

Re: New noscript interface

barbaz, Awesome! It worked. So, would I infer correctly that by clicking on the Default icon of a particular site in the whitelist, I have instructed NoScript to set this individual site back to a global default status of disallowing anything from happening on the site, and, consequently, the site d...

Re: New noscript interface

As I seem to share the collective sense of pain in adjusting to the new UI, I want to try dissecting it piecemeal. When I look at the whitelist, I can see the option to clear the list entirely, but I would like to be able to remove sites individually. How can I do so, if possible? thanks.

Re: NoScript and Multiprocess Windows in Firefox

barbaz, I appreciate that you moved my post into its proper place. I can see from how my question was stated that one might infer that I was seeking information about all four of the addons because I did not explicitly ask whether installation of NoScript itself disables this setting. However, I kno...

NoScript and Multiprocess Windows in Firefox

I am trying to figure out which of my four addons in Firefox (ver. 55.02), one of which is the NoScript 5.0.9, has apparently disabled the ability to make use of Multiprocess Windows in the browser. Inspecting "about:support" in Firefox, I see this configuration setting, among others: Mult...

NoScript Legacy Addon

First, I humbly apologize if this topic has been resolved in another post, and kindly direct my attention to it if need be. Now to my concern. I use NoScript in 64-bit Firefox (version 55.01) on Windows 10, along with a few other extensions. I have noticed lately that the addon page in the browser s...

Re: NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

My default search engine in firefox is Startpage, which uses a proxy for Google and which has some settings designed to further protect searches. One of these settings is stated as "Use POST vs GET". I am not a developer, but It makes me wonder whether this procedure used by Startpage, and...

Re: NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

It was certainly not my intention to upset the flow of ideas or irritate you, barbaz. My intention is to fix a clear problem with NoScript, which I use religiously to avoid other, bigger problems. Since NoScript is creating a popup message and prompting me to double my efforts to make searches in Fi...

NoScript filtered a potential coss-site scripting attempt

I would really like to get to the bottom of why NoScript continually pops up this warning just about every other time I do a search in Firefox searchbox: "NoScript filtered a potential coss-site scripting (XSS) attempt from [chrome:]. Techinical details have been logged to the console." Be...

Re: NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

It looks to me as though an XSS related error appears in these, but I must admit I understand very little of this hard-core developer stuff: Could not read chrome manifest 'file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Mozilla%20Firefox/chrome.manifest'. SSL Observatory WARN: Failed to initialize NSS component...

Re: NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

I want to add another point about this before deciding my next step in troubleshooting. On far end of the notification bar with aforementioned error message, there is an options button that appears, giving me choices such as Load console, Unsafe Reload, Notifications, Options, and XSS FAQ. So, I was...

Re: NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

barbaz, I can log in just fine. However, it is not necessary to log in to post, but I cannot post with my registered user ID while doing so. I simply post without logging in while using "antipop2" as the ID. Does my doing it like this cause a problem in the information for some reason? Any...

NoScript and XSS attempt from [chrome]

I have the latest versions of NoScript in Firefox on Windows 10 Pro. I use Startpage as my default search engine. Just about every time I enter any text in the small search box at the top right of Firefox, while the Startpage is loaded as my homepage, and press Enter, I get a NoScript message appear...

Permanent Allow commands in private windows

If this topic has been answered elsewhere, kinkly point out a link to it and accept my humble apologies for now finding it before asking. Now that I have begun using Firefox Private Browsing feature with its latest version for Windows, I have see a new option in the drop-down for NoScript like this:...
