Re: Powerful extension worthy of a look (very long).
I got a "topic is locked" error earlier when I wanted to make this final post. I must be driving a moderator/admin up the wall. Sorry. On the DOCUMENT attribute It is by far the most interesting, in my opinion, and the one you will probably end up using the most, for sites such as cpalead/...

Re: Powerful extension worthy of a look (very long).
I told you this would be long. I'm getting xss false positives trying to post this multi-post tutorial. The 15 attributes exexceptions can control match precisely the same things that adblock plus does with it's html filters, plus 4 more. cookie -- install -- image -- popup -- script document -- dtd...

Powerful extension worthy of a look (very long).
I rate 4 firefox extensions as the most vital tools for security and convenience: NoScript, Adblock Plus, Request Policy, and the much lesser known ExExceptions About the extension: This addon does nothing more than give you an editor for the firefox 3.* permissions.sqlite file with import/export ca...

Re: How to stop CPALead from redirecting me?
Actually I do have a way of stopping that redirect, but it involves a completely unrelated firefox extension. Go to Addons.mozilla.org and find " exexceptions ." -- the version compatibility tag is out of date, so you'll need to go into about:config and set extensions.checkCompatibility to...

Re: Flashgot support for Hulu streams?
I asked mr. maone about this once. He told me that there's a problem wherein he lives in Italy, and there's some stupid geopolitical B.S. going on that forbids him from viewing hulu.com, so he has no way to get around to this issue.

Re: flashget 3
oi vey. I tried flashget 3 when it was in beta. I had it installed along flashget 1.96. Let me tell you, it did suspicious things. It changed the behavior in 1.96, had it constantly trying to open some ad page, stored strange cookies... made me feel dirty all over.

Re: No longer can download from YouTube
I think I should point out that this problem correlates with youtube insisting on making viewers update their flash, and also that they are now offering another level of high definition viewing. Some videos go up to a revolution of 1080p now. Which means, you'd be downloading a HUGE file.

Re: No longer can download from YouTube
I noticed this, too. I found a way to download, though, by using adblock plus to detect the .flv file from http://*.c.youtube.com (just search "c.youtube"), then opening that url in a new tab, and downloading with firefox's built in download manager.

Re: update: Adobe Flash Player 10.0.45.2 Released
This update was just infuriating. I didn't know it was time for an update until Youtube decided to tell me my flash was out of date, and refused to play any videos. So I went to adobe.com to get the update. What does it give me? It installs TWO plugins. One is an extension called "getplus"...

Re: Features: CSRF and NoScript
Sorry to dogpile a bunch of comments again, but I really think my last idea is a good one, maybe even a necessary one. I'm talking about an ABE command that does the opposite of what Anon does. Like an arcsin to a sin function. I've been experimenting with using the logout and anon commands, and it ...

@giorgio:
While I'm at it, is there a command opposite of Anon so that I can create a pair privacy rulesets such as this?

Re: Features: CSRF and NoScript
This has been an interesting thread. How long has that "anon" command been available?
@giorgio:
Since you introduced ABE, I've gone by that one .pdf file you linked to at hackademix, but that command is not in it. Is there an updated how-to for ABE available somewhere?

GET request sighted related to flashgot
I was messing around with the "live http headers" extension and I noticed something. On any new tab I opened up ever, one of the first thins to show up was something like "# GET http://www.surfcanyon.com/refCheck=flashgot" I disabled flashgot, restarted, and this went away. What'...

Re: 1.9.9.05 Hides All HTML
I found the exact setting(s) that cause my problem.
It's my old friend, noscript.forbidIFramesContext . All html disappears if "disable iframe" is checked and noscript.forbidIFramesContext = 0 .

Re: 1.9.9.05 Hides All HTML
Nothing in the error but the normal stupid errors from the Shareaholic and betterprivacy extensions that are always there, but don't seem to affect their functionality. And I've tried disabling all extensions but noscript, so I know noscript is the problem.
