So Ghostry seemed to be the main culprit. I had to permit adf.ly in it (the giant button that looks like pause had to be turned to the image that looks like play).
Meanwhile, I'm going to switch to easy list. Thanks.

Re: unable to get several sites to work
Ok. Step 1: Ghostry: Whitelisted adf.ly Step 2: Adblock Plus: Hmm... two things. One is apparently an image, and the other is ... I'm guessing the cookie deal. OK, try turning them on. Nope. Hmm. Ghostry: Disable (the pause/play button). ICCK, that's the adf.ly ads? "Your download will begin in...

Re: unable to get several sites to work
To clarify: I want both programs. I just want to disable the "kill the cookie" behavior.

Re: unable to get several sites to work
If you have Ghostery or Adblock Plus, they have a filter that kills a special cookie they set and that's why its not working. Oh, great. How do I disable those? (I have both). (And why did Firefox not bother reloading this site when I have quit and restarted it at least 10 times since wednesday? I ...

Re: unable to get several sites to work
Ok, here's one from today: http://adf.ly/DBLVw It's a mod addon for Minecraft. On my mother's PC, with noscript, it does a 5 second countdown, and then goes to "skip ad". On my mac, no matter what I do, no matter what I turn on, permit, etc, it never begins the countdown or displays "...

Re: unable to get several sites to work
Check the Blocked Objects submenu. Probably there's Flash or IFRAME being blocked. Ordinarily you'd see a placeholder on the page, but sometimes it's just not visible. Checked that. It's annoying that I have to enable those every time when that happens. And, on my mother's PC using the current fire...

unable to get several sites to work
I am unable to get a number of websites to work correctly. Specifically: 1. Adf.ly never goes past "please wait". I never see the 5 second count down, and I have to view source -> search for the /go/ string, and manually copy/paste to get the files behind the ad. 2. Imgur never uploads pic...

"Revoke temporary permissions" and "Make permissions perma..
The options for "Make permissions permanent" and "Revoke temporary permissions" need to be very separated, to prevent accidentally making permanent instead of revoking.

Re: Tabnapping: Slightly less restrictive?
Now that's odd. I just went to the proof of concept site, and after telling noscript to permit scripts from his web site, it worked -- including morphing into the jpeg image of gmail and changing the icon. While not the active tab. So ... what's going on? --- How about letting me whitelist some doma...

Tabnapping: Slightly less restrictive?
I'm a heavy tab user. (Yes, I suffer from Tabsplosion :-) ). I'm getting a lot of errors like this: Jul 4 22:54:35 Kleiman-ibook [0x0-0x57057].org.mozilla.firefox[0]: [NoScript] [NoScript] Blocking refresh on unfocused tab, http://forums.libsdl.org/profile.php?mode=activate&u=7543&key_manual...

Re: Safari support?
That's interesting.
It sounds like Dave Hyatt wants to add in whatever it is that NoScript needs.
So what is the missing piece?
I suspect that if you could tell Safari what you want, they would have it pretty quick.

Follow redirect not working
Over on wikipedia, I found this link: http://www.cpp.com/detail/detailprod.asp?pc=16 Going there with Noscript turned on gave me a "Blocked redirect". When I said to follow redirect, I got an error message with code backtrace from the web server. When I said "Temporarily allow all thi...

Permitting some iframes
How would I permit example.com to use iframes without whitelisting all the scripts from example.com?
If it makes a difference, you could assume that I want to permit iframes to some.example.com/pattern?* rather than all iframs from parent.example.com.
