Re: Noscript not letting me open a page/site
Hi, the name is the 'external' DDNS name of my diskstation. If I ping the full DDNS, it resolves to my External IP address. I would assume that for others it wouldn't ping? I just re-read my reply and it's not very clear. I can now paste the links into a new tab and they open. Can I add an exception...

Re: Noscript not letting me open a page/site
Hi mate - it was in CODE tags.
I've tried removing colons, slashes and http etc. Still says it's spam.

Re: Noscript not letting me open a page/site
Hi, thanks for the quick reply.. Today, I was mailing myself links but when I clicked the link, Noscript stopped it opening. Copying and pasting the link was OK though - so I thought it must have been a protection from clicking certain links. However, after (probably!) changing something, even pasti...

Noscript not letting me open a page/site
I paste a url into FF (url is to the DDNS name for my NAS. There is a popup that it has been filtered by ABE <LOCAL> Deny. I don't understand the 'ABE' options to be honest. If I replace the DDNS part with my internal IP, I can access the file OK.
How can I fix this?

Re: NoScript suddenly won't let me connect to my NAS..
Thanks for that Thrawn - I'll stick with the beta one.
As I say, I thought FF kept the add-ons up to date automatically.

Re: NoScript suddenly won't let me connect to my NAS..
Hi therube,
Many thanks - that's sorted it.
I thought the add ons kept themselves up to date so assumed 2.5.5 was the latest.
Many thanks to you both!

Re: NoScript suddenly won't let me connect to my NAS..
Hi Giorgio,
Version is 2.5.5.
Unticking the 'Enable ABE' makes no difference.
As you can see in the log above, I access the NAS via its IP address. This IP address is listed in the whitelist.

NoScript suddenly won't let me connect to my NAS..
Suddenly, when I try to connect to my NAS, the NoScript icon is red and the page is blank. The only options listed are 'Forbid xx.xx.xx.xx' , recently blocked sites and allow all globally. Usually when it's red it's a site I've not been on and I have an 'Allow' option - but I don't have that. If I s...

Re: Red exclamation mark?
Thanks for that. It was my 7 yr old - who also managed to install Chrome.
I've used it for a long time and would never allow global access.
Thanks again.

[RESOLVED] Red exclamation mark?
The noscript icon in the top left of Firefox is now just the blue S but it now always has a red exclamation mark for all sites I visit (where I can mark the site as untrusted).
All sites 'within the site' also have the option to mark as untrusted - but not allow.
Any idea why?
