Re: FlashGot & Free Download Manager
Likely the issue is that the new version of FDM is 64 bit so FlashGot isn't able to recognize it. I'd like to propose adding support for 64 bit FDM. As things continue to move to 64 bit it's going to become necessary at some point Yes. For me, Flashgot recognizes the latest FDM 5.1, but when you tr...

Autostart
Please explain how the function autostart downloads works. I couldnt find an explanation on the features page.
I use FDM linked with Flashgot.. Is there any way to get the right Youtube file name?
Also, is it possible in the future to have the customized settings exported/imported?

Re: 3 Things
Thanks for the prompt reply. Please explain, on YouTube when I use FDM by itself, without the help of Flashgot, it captures an incomplete, video only version of a file, but the file has the correct name.Giorgio Maone wrote:Very few DMs support name forcing, your best bet is using the built-in for FlashGot Media.

3 Things
Firefox 27 and 280b3, XP sp3, latest Flashgot and FDM 1. I use Flashgot and Free Download Manager together, especially on YouTube where at this moment FDM cannot d/l the proper files there by itself, which I'm guessing is not news here. But lately when I select a file from Flashgot>Available Formats...

Re: Flashgot conflict with Downloadhelper 4.9.2.1
I found that Cookie Controller and Ghostery extensions also contribute to the problem if you use all 4 together.

Re: Flashgot conflict with Downloadhelper 4.9.2.1
Do you also have NoScript? (Same issue noted here, viewtopic.php?p=63623#p63623) No. My symptoms sound different. While the browser is slowly loading, it is frozen, elevating cpu usage and gradually chewing up more and more ram memory until it gets to the max point (2g), and stays there until Firef...

Flashgot conflict with Downloadhelper 4.9.2.1
This applies to both Firefox 25.09.1 and Firefox Portable 26.0b8, Flashgot 1.5.9.5 and dev version, and several previous versions as well I know this may not be a problem experienced by all, because my browsing sessions can commonly have over 200 tabs. They could have as many as 800. When I have onl...

Toolbar Button Suggestion
Forgive me if I am mistaken about this or made a mis-step. I just created a fresh Firefox profile and manually installed all extensions. I hooked Flashgot up with Free Download Manager. I went to You Tube and couldn't get it to work (or that's what I thought), because I tried to left click on the or...

Re: Issue with FG Media and Free Download Manager
The problem is FDM (and most other external downloaders) not giving any mean to force a certain file name, and trying to guess from the download URL. Since Youtube's movie URLs all end in "videoplayback.flv", external download managers use that name for every Youtube movie. You can get pr...
