Windows Verification Tool
For people who are still creeped out by the idea of the Verification Tool and what it might do to their computers, here's a way to get the verification info needed to download and to remove residual tool entries from your machine: Use an installation monitor when running the Verification Tool (Total...

Re: Killing Mixed Content HTTPS
Thanks. Sorry it's taken so long to respond. Yup, do understand how to let stuff through to NS. However, may need help figuring out how to get NS to behave as desired. Don't know if ABE is an answer? Tried messing about with it for a while, but with no luck. Using mozdev.org as an example, is there ...

Re: ABE user guide and NS possibly adding RP functions
Sorry if my post was not exactly clear... If it is one user on several accounts, I'm not sure quite why you (I) would need different permission levels at different Yahoo accounts. It's not that one needs different permission levels; it's that at the more strict RP levels one has to duplicate ...

Sandbox and 64 Bit?
Does anyone know of a sandbox program that will work with 64 bit OS? Kaspersky Internet Security supplies one that is unusable, as is Sandboxie.

Killing Mixed Content HTTPS
I've been enjoying looking at the error console to see the info on NoScript forcing https on sites that aren't doing it so well by themselves. NoScript's does a great job on sites with mixed content that have a secure version of the not-secure files available, but on some sites that's not the case a...

[RESOLVED] Some security with "Allow Scripts Globally"
Posting this here because: is it a support question or a feature request question?? (depends on the answer!) Installed NoScript on a relative's new computer and she can't handle it. No patience. She wants to surf with no effort on her part. It's really looking like I may have to allow scripts global...

Re: What are the implications of this code?
It's not an issue of a "fresh browser", or restarting your browser. Any site that you manually type the URL for will have no referrer. Actually any site you go to from a bookmark too--which is precisely why some sites that break (financial sites primarily, it seems) will tell you not to u...

Re: ABE user guide and NS possibly adding RP functions
Since the idea here is to get more granularity, if NS were to take on RP-type functions, one thing that would be an improvement would be to treat those functions in the same way NS treats other functions, i.e. with multiple domain levels possible per site. With RP one is stuck with whatever the glob...

Re: What are the implications of this code?
I was just alerted by James Abbatiello, the developer of RefControl, that this add-on, which is apparently not listed on Firefox Add-ons, uninstalls RefControl Don't know if it qualifies as an add-on per se, but it's a FF profile configured to use the company's proxy software and service while keep...
