Is DNT+ compatible with NoScript?
I'm evaluating the Do Not Track Plus (DNT+) extension, primarily because it automatically installs and updates the opt-out cookies respected by many large tracking companies. It also blocks the scripts that are used by many trackers. I'm less interested in the script blocking feature because Adblock...

Re: Automatically Reload Current Page or Tab
I thought I already answered the question in this topic, GµårÐïåñ. Did I give the wrong answer?

Re: SVG and Noscript
Thank you for the detailed clarification, Giorgio. Now I understand why the icon didn't indicate that NoScript was blocking any JavaScript even though it was.

Re: SVG and Noscript
JS is JS, I don't get how this behavior would be unexpected. It's unexpected because that page doesn't use JavaScript. The NoScript icon and my viewing of the source for that page seem to agree that no JavaScript is being used. Could you be more specific about where you see JavaScript? Just for the...

Re: SVG and Noscript
Try putting that page on a site that doesn't use JavaScript on any other pages. I wouldn't be surprised if you get the same result. If you're able to do that research, let us know where it is so we can see if it gives the same result as the link I posted.

Re: SVG and Noscript
Confirmed. I should have tried that sooner. Doesn't appear to be a NoScript issue after all.therube wrote:If you manually disable JavaScript, the OP's link also fails.

Re: SVG and Noscript
I think WAGs won't tell us what's going on. Try putting that page on a site that doesn't use scripting. I wouldn't be surprised if you get the same result. This would be a really good time for Giorgio to explain why he is requiring scripts to be allowed even if all the restrictions in NoScript > Emb...

Re: SVG and Noscript
I'm not talking about the main site, which does use scripting. I'm talking about the link I posted. http://www.petercollingridge.co.uk/sites/files/peter/hover2_onmouseover.svg Viewing the source of that link, I see no scripts. NoScript agrees: the NoScript icon displays a white S, which means that t...

Re: SVG and Noscript
The url of your example got mangled. On this forum you sometimes need to enclose them with to prevent that from happening. I found one that seems to demonstrate the problem you describe. http://www.petercollingridge.co.uk/sites/files/peter/hover2_onmouseover.svg Even if I uncheck all the restriction...

Re: NoScript icon has disappeared from status bar FF 11 NS 2
Hi, Alan. I don't know why it moved for you, but it's probably hiding in one of the other toolbars or the Customize window. Right-click on of the toolbars, select Customize, and hunt around for the NS icon. Then drag it back to wherever you want before closing the Customize window.

Re: Why must I "Temporarily allow all this page" REPEATEDLY?
The problem with this is that I do want the ads to load on certain sites. Webcomics, for example. Those comics are small businesses which depend on the ad revenue as their primary, perhaps even sole, source of income. If allowing a few ads (which I'll probably ignore anyway) to load on the page is ...
