Re: NS doesn't block Youtube HTML5 player
Thanks barbaz, I did block googlevideo and I get the placeholder on the first video. But as you can see here http://i.imgur.com/gC0Zr1T.png when I get the ogg video, I only have the option to unblock the whole domain, not the single video. Because of that, many other videos are automatically unblock...

Re: NS doesn't block Youtube HTML5 player
Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too Do not forbid <I|FRAME> about:config -> media.mediasource.enabled;false URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGvtg3q7CUU You should get a placeholder. That placeholder is for an ogg object. If you left-click the placeholder, a Flash player will load...

Re: suggested YouTube media file name not being passed
Giorgio, using Downthemall+Flashgot to download a YT video, I always get the file name "videoplayback". If I use keepvid.com to download the same video, Downthemall automatically renames the file to the correct name and extension. I noticed that the keepvid link has "&title=Video+...

Re: Flashgot no longer seeing 1080 MP4 on youtube
Here's a simple batch script to merge the two streams with a "_muxed" sufix on the file name. Just replace "X:\ffmpegdir\bin" with the directory where ffmpeg.exe is, save it as a .bat file and drag n drop the mp4 files over the bat @echo off set FFMPEGDIR=X:\ffmpegdir\bin cd /d %...

Re: Flashgot no longer seeing 1080 MP4 on youtube
If you'd read the whole thread, you'd know that this was a Youtube change , not FlashGot's. It seems that Google doesn't want people downloading their videos. I doubt this is the last change, they'll probably cook something even worse to block us. @all: Is there no way to download country-restricted...

Re: Flashgot no longer seeing 1080 MP4 on youtube
@kittymew: This happened with a few videos for me too, but the muxed (audio+video with ffmpeg) files were playable.

Thanks a lot for your work on this user.
Google should just stop with this hypocrisy and release an official way to download the videos.

Re: Loading page from address bar fails
I've noticed this problem too, but is NoScript the culprit?
I thought the problem was with Firefox, but I haven't tested with a clean profile without NoScript.

Re: Youtube chunks and encodes videos to avoid downloads
You can use keepvid dot com to download videos that Flashgot won't detect, until Giorgio comes up with a solution.

Hi Giorgio, I noticed that the android app TubeMate is able to download youtube videos that FlashGot won't detect.
Maybe you could contact the app's author to see how they are handling the change.
Best regards

Re: [Resolved] As of 5/31/2013, youtube videos blocked
Strangely, I'm having the same issue as OP for about 2 days now.
Flashgot icon simply doesn't appear on most youtube videos. Out of about 15 videos random videos, it works for 2 or 3.
I'm already using FF 21.0.
