Re: noscript 10 problems loading data and setting / reading
Re: NS 10 settings. "Other" - "Unknown" (I've seen this a few places. Don't know if all were copied from one source, or all original). I understand how everything might not be categorized or listed, but a whole pile of " Unknown ?" Who that doesn't have a fair idea of w...

Re: noscript 10 problems loading data and setting / reading
Thanks Giacomo. NoScript Team: I did more research. Working w/ Firefox 60.1 esr, in a clean profile & Tor Browser 8.0, that creates its own profile. Made sure NS 10.1.9.6 settings were the same for both browsers. Also confirmed all about:config pref involving cookies were same for both browsers ...

noscript 10 problems loading data and setting / reading cook
** [small edit - firefox ver., near end of post # 1] NoScript 10.1.9.6 in Tor Browser 8 and / or Fx 60.1esr in Mint 18.1. I think someone may have reported the problem of NS 10x in TBB not saving user adjusted settings on this forum a while back. I still have the same issue. Except my mode settings ...

Re: someone look at bank's code_see why check images not vis
I'd say there are obvious JS source map errors. I used unmodified Firefox 61.0.1 - Linux, with a useragent for Firefox under Win 7 (6.1). It seemed like there were several changes in Fx developer tools between v52.9.0esr and v61.0.1. Fx 61 developer tools showed more error information, with more cla...

near copy&paste split from t=25116
The only UA pref naming Firefox - in lower case, is "general.useragent.compatMode.firefox" I'm not sure if it should be default - false, or not? The full UA string that sites pick up from somewhere (bits & pieces, or a code?) is definitely not lower case: "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux ...

Re: someone look at bank's code_see why check images not vis
Sites may now be getting the full UA string from the "about:" page, or "about:buildconfig." Where ever that data is stored. It's definitely no longer in about:config, for time being. The Tor Browser "general.useragent.override" value, for ALL platforms is: "Mozilla...

Re: someone look at bank's code_see why check images not vis
Thanks again. Uh... did a lot more checking. Now that I totally deleted the general.useragent.override pref, the UA that sites are picking up has changed. You were right - there was an error. BTW, I kept getting a forum err msg, "Oops - something's triggered my spam filter. Check your ... and t...

Re: someone look at bank's code_see why check images not vis
Thanks everyone. Sorry for not getting back sooner. Not from lack of appreciation for help. Don't have time tonite to go into deep details - tomorrow? Yes, you're correct - that UA had a mistake. I'm not sure I did that, but maybe. I removed the override pref, cleared cache, cookies & restarted....

Re: someone look at bank's code_see why check images not vis
Thanks, Barbasol & The Rube. What's weird, even for Pale Moon? That's like weird in an amazing way, right? Everyone sees it's for Linux, right? No, the bank likes to keep a low profile - they just call it "The Vault." Of course they have a name: Smart Financial Credit Union (large one)...

someone look at bank's code_see why check images not visible
I'm sure the general question's been asked, but specifics of each site (bank) varies, for what 3rd parties are necessary. Basically, I disabled Noscript 5.1.8.6 in addons manager or Fx 52.9.0esr, under Linux & *always* have this bank whitelisted in uBlocko. It's worked fine since their last big ...

clarify AMO blip on NoScript version for Firefox 52
I assume the blip on NoScript page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/, says, " Fx52? https://noscript.net/getit " is a time saving / carpal tunnel avoiding way of saying, "If you're using Firefox 52 ESR, you need to use NoScript "Classic" (5.1.8.4)"...

Re: Noscript breaks access to whitelist entries by forcing S
In NS 2.9.0.14 in Fx 49 Win (Firefox, not TBB), this seems to recently started breaking sites . My circumstances are a bit different than OP's. When OP said, "access to whitelisted sites," I assume some sites that failed were user added? For me, NS seems to force https for all sites not su...

Re: how to create custom, temp blocking rules
See, it does work like you think it should. Thanks. I re-read your reply several times. To me, it doesn't work as expected, because there's one point you left out. The pic you linked has a difference from what I described. The base domain, AddictiveTips is allowed. I was speaking of when base domai...

Re: how to create custom, temp blocking rules
Thanks barbaz. Sorry didn't get back sooner. If I understood, NS started allowing certain sites by default - like Google Analytics, Understood from what? 1.5 ? Good one. :) No, I saw the FAQ after you mentioned. I looked in various NS files - at default allowed sites. And what appears in the whiteli...

how to create custom, temp blocking rules
Is there a way for users to create NS blocking rules, that could be fairly easily turned off & on? If I understood, NS started allowing certain sites by default - like Google Analytics, other Google domains & some other larger sites. I noticed various Google trackers weren't showing up in NS...
