A major flaw
NoScript earns its bubblegum allowance merely for blocking all the countless scripts that want to get into my PC. But there is a major obstacle - how do we know what a particular script DOES? There is a severe problem with NoScript. Sometimes I get a long list of scripts to approve or not. ONE among...

How did NoScript disappear?
I use Firefox, and have used it and NoScript for years. My browser has been hijacked, and part of the attack was to remove NoScript. That tells me that NoScript was a threat to the efficacy of the attacker. I've reinstalled it, but can no longer depend on it until I can reinstall Firefox. My questio...

"Make temporary permissions permanent" - GONE
My NoScript updates automatically. But for several updates, I have still not seen the above choice. I can revoke temporary permissions, but haven't been able to make them permanent for a long time now. I think something is subtracting this option. I'd suggest you make it impossible to subtract from ...

Re: Site can't be marked untrusted
YOU need to know what I just learned. I DID just manage to mark 127.0.0.1 untrusted. I went to your whitelist. There I found a bunch of grayed-out sites that I didn't want, but couldn't remove them. At the bottom of that window, though, I discovered that NoScript had been set to allow scripts global...

Re: Site can't be marked untrusted
Don't get me wrong - I do NOT expect NoScript to correct malware. But how can I be sure this IS malware? I've done a couple of scans and not found anything. I've gone to Internet Options and put it on to the list of blocked sites, but I don't think Internet Options applies anywhere but IE. Since it ...

Site can't be marked untrusted
Something has compromised NoScript on my PC. A site, with the DNS: 127.0.0.1 cannot be marked untrusted. It is a site that seems to want to be the domain people use or something. Whatever it is, this site blocks me from visuals when I'm browsing Yahoo. It's apparaently too new to have a WOT rating. ...

Something hit Firefox - Noscript unusable
I don't know what happened, but for the last two days, the NoScript icons on Firefox are dulled out. The options bar at the bottom is gone on many, but not all, sites. Sites keep telling me I need to enable Java. Which means NoScript is being used to block ALL Java, while remaining unusable for ME. ...

Re: Big problem making online comments on CNN
I want to thank therube for the link to the "generic" CNN SoundOff page. You may have noticed that, where an issue may be particularly controversial, they do not include SoundOff. Of course, with this page, only CNN will get to read it, but at least it's something! I've been trying to find...

Re: Big problem making online comments on CNN
Yes, as I said, disabling NS stops the problem. If Ad Blocker is involved this is only so when NS is active. I didn't disable AdBlocker, and the scripts sailed through. NS is the crux, since I only have this problem when NS is enabled. And only on CNN's SoundOff commentary areas. Other kinds of comm...

Big problem making online comments on CNN
I like NoScript, but for me it has a huge problem. CNN often has a "Sound Off" section added to some articles. EVERY time I comment, and click "submit," I get a message that says a script on the page has stopped running. If I click to continue the script, it often makes me do thi...
