I just noticed a detail in the canned user's post that's inconsistent with what I'm seeing...
...a reload fixes it because the assets are already in the cache. By that logic, loading a website in the current tab -- either by pasting URL into the omnibox or left-clicking a bookmark -- should ...

Re: after OS, Chrome upgrade, experiencing odd issue with NS
...For NoScript specifically, try clearing the extension's local storage and re-importing your whitelist. It sounds like a 'race condition' where the script is trying to fire before the page environment is fully ready—a reload fixes it because the assets are already in the cache. Thanks! Race ...

Re: after OS, Chrome upgrade, experiencing odd issue with NS
I did a fresh install of Linux Mint and Google Chrome and experienced same behavior as described above. Sigh.

Re: after NS reset, I'm prompted to reload every time I open a new tab
Thanks!
I didn't realize I needed to make changes on that screen after a reset. But I should have realized that popup was different than NoScript's reload popup.

[Resolved] after NS reset, I'm prompted to reload every time I open a new tab
As described in a separate post , while troubleshooting some odd browsing issues, I reset NoScript to default. This created a new issue I've never experienced before. Whenever a visit a website, the NS icon on my toolbar changes to a question mark, and when I click on the icon, NS prompts me to ...

Re: after OS, Chrome upgrade, experiencing odd issue with NS
Not seeing that in a fresh (no existing user configuration) Chromium 145.0.7362.75 (installed as flatpak) with NoScript 13.5.10 installed from Chrome Web Store and all default Chromium and NoScript settings. Thanks for trying. Maybe these issues only happen in Google Chrome...?

Re: after OS, Chrome upgrade, experiencing odd issue with NS
Thanks for responding. Yup, this issue is a bit confusing and I got bogged down trying to describe how to test. I'll describe the expected behavior for the 2nd example as it's easier to explain:
When I load https://ahridirectory.org and search for a valid reference number, e.g., 216440330, the ...

after OS, Chrome upgrade, experiencing odd issue with NS
I recently upgraded my ancient Linux OS (Mint 18 to 22) so I could install the latest version of Chrome. Since then, I've begun to encounter browsing issues on certain sites that can only be resolved by disabling scripts globally, or by fully turning off NS. Disabling tab restrictions or temporarily ...

Re: Any way to Trust all subdomains for a given domain?
Thanks. I (obviously) never used Custom, other than noting that a recent upgrade changed the behavior of the "Temporarily set top-level sites to TRUSTED" option such that top level sites are now marked as Custom unless already Trusted. I found the discussion where that change was being debated.

Re: Any way to Trust all subdomains for a given domain?
For completeness, should also note that if what you want is a contextual permission where *.cloudfront.net is trusted only when browsing specific site , you can make the contextual permission in the NoScript popup and then edit it in NoScript Options > Advanced, check "Debug" and change "§:d ...

Re: Any way to Trust all subdomains for a given domain?
Trusting *.cloudfront.net is about as fine-grained as trusting *.com.... That said, you can still do it by manually typing cloudfront.net in NoScript Options > Per-site Permissions Noted, and thanks for the suggestion. I didn't realize that I could edit the Trusted list without export/import (I ...

Any way to Trust all subdomains for a given domain?
I noticed scripts from cloudfront that support required functionality on more and more sites. The problem is that they typically (always?) reference subdomain.cloudfront.net where subdomain is a 14 digit code that changes for every script. I don't see a way to 'Trust' all subdomains in the user ...

v12.0.1 broke javascript in Chrome [SOLVED]
Since yesterday, I haven't be able to access many websites in Chrome. I discovered that disabling NS resolves the issue, so I came to this forum and saw several threads relating to Mv3 migration (this was news to me as I don't follow such things any longer). For different reasons, I'm still running ...

Re: isitdownrightnow.com comments script doesn't work with N
If you really want to see the comments, you could try changing your ABE rule like this...
Of course! Thanks for the tip!
I said I couldn't get the comments working at all, not even in a clean profile without NoScript. Sorry if it wasn't clear.
