Those sites place flash objects using swfobject.js, which I posted about in NoScript Development http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=880 before I saw this.

NoScript not drawing Flash from SWFObject
Just installed NoScript 1.9.2 this morning, and it seems to block all Flash content placed by SWFObject (see http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/ ) even on trusted sites. Have tried across multiple domains as well as the swfobject demos (see Examples under http://code.google.com/p/swfobject/wiki/link...
