Changing what is allowed for a certain scope does not work when clicking on the label instead of the checkbox itself.

HTTPS Everywhere also allows for much more advanced rules, like redirection to a different subdomain.

I believe most of the NetBIOS stuff can be deactivated (on the OS-level) somehow.

Just came across this bug report that makes clear that I was apparently wrong about the Session Restore behavior in Firefox: https://bugzil.la/show_bug.cgi?id=345345. What I wasn't wrong about is that the meaning of a "session" has changed (as can be also seen by the bug tracker comments).
