Re: NoScript + setTimeout in Greasemonkey = fail
Thanks for the info. I've filed a RFE, as you suggested, and hopefully the Greasemonkey devs will add GM_setTimeout soon.

NoScript + setTimeout in Greasemonkey = fail
I have both NoScript and Greasemonkey installed, and use several GM scripts to add functionality to websites I regularly visit. Lately, I decided to write my own GM script for a page, but my setTimeout calls did nothing - it was like the setTimeout call wasn't there at all. No errors, no warnings, j...

Re: Typed wrong google and got redirect.. help ?
Probably somebody trying to steal your Facebook credentials or give you one of the zillion viruses that are spreading all over Facebook. Ordinarily, I'd say it's just a FB activity of some kind (e.g. a game), but the deliberate "typo-phishing" doesn't leave much room for doubt.

Re: NoScript Sightings
NoScript is included by default in BackTrack 4. For those who don't know what BackTrack is, here's a quote from their home page: BackTrack is a Linux-based penetration testing arsenal that aids security professionals in the ability to perform assessments in a purely native environment dedicated to h...

Re: Blitzableiter developments...
Looks pretty interesting, but the approach seems to be a standard antivirus approach - scan for known threats. That works just fine, until the attackers come up with a new threat... and all of a sudden, that approach doesn't work nearly as well. I wonder how this will stand up to the ultimate test: ...

Re: current page only, current tab only, current directory only
More granularity is planned for NoScript 2.0, which should be able to handle what you want.
Here's a longer discussion about it: http://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=415
Cheers!

Re: How to enable website buttons with NoScript?
Nothing works besides disabling No Script thru ad-ons. Sometimes it will work when a user temp allows, sometimes it wont. Sometimes pages will loop, sometimes they wont. Most times the page does nothing when any button is clicked. I believe it's some sort of tag Facebook is using that is conflictin...

Re: Popup & Focus URL Hijacking
I've tried, and the popup says: Firefox prevented this site (mozdev.mirror.digionline.de) from asking you to install software on your computer. The server (mozdev.mirror) changes if I retry, but firefox doesn't show forums.informaction.com as download link. I have Request Policy also If you disable...

Re: Popup & Focus URL Hijacking
I agree with you completely, but I'm not going to beat my head against a wall trying to get Mozilla to agree. I think the Mozilla stance is that you can safely install extensions only from addons.mozilla.org, not from links posted by TrustMe-Really at "myfavoritetrustedtechboard.com". meh...

Re: Popup & Focus URL Hijacking
It may be caused by the same bug we discussed previously in this topic. Bug 537119 – navigating an opened window to an XPI (using e.g. w.document.location='foo.xpi') doesn't clear out location bar or page contents . I've added the scenario you discovered in comment 10 . Thanks for commenting on tha...

Re: Popup & Focus URL Hijacking
Update: I just updated to Fx 3.6 and tried it again - it still asks for a installation confirmation for the site the link was on. This isn't InformAction-specific, either, as I received a similar prompt on the MozillaZine forums - "Allow installation from forums.mozillazine.org" instead of...

Re: The firefox browser doomed?
GoogleChrome isn't a complete browser, it is a concept of a browser, but a lot is missing there to make it a tweakable and extension rich one. The cream custard is there but they have forgotten about the raspberry sauce so to speak. They haven't forgotten - it's deliberately omitted. Google has alw...

Re: Popup & Focus URL Hijacking
Oops. I screwed up and accidentally deleted computerfreaker's post here. No problem, I'll just rewrite it. I found an even weirder example of this "hijacking" right here. It has nothing to do with InformAction, btw, and can (and does) happen on any site. * Go to http://forums.informaction...
