Re: Freestockcharts
Logged off and then on the site again on Win 7 and it works fine, go figure. Obviously not a NS problem.

Re: Freestockcharts
I originally had this problem on my Win 7 system and tried this on my XP system and the problem does not reoccur which I guess adds another variable to the equation, i.e. something in one of the components that is sensitive to the OS. Firefox and NS are both at the same level on both systems (3.6.16...

[INVALID] Freestockcharts
Hello: Other that having a site in the whitelist is there something else I would need to do to be able to add symbols to a portfolio in freestockcharts.com? I was able to create the portfolio and add 1 symbol but when I attempt to add another symbol to the portfolio the "Add" button acts l...

Re: Does NoScript block JScript in local files
If I navigate from Open Files to one of the .htm files in the Help directory the NoScript context menu shows "Forbid files://" so that should mean that files are allowed. I don't know what kind of files is being invoked by the Help menu item. The application is local and it's Help system i...

Re: Does NoScript block JScript in local files
Yes they should be opening in FF, but I'm sure the vendor would prefer that I use IE. As I stated if I navigate to the folder and click on one of the .htm files it does open in FF which is why I'm suspecting that they invoke a .js file. Do you have file:// Allowed? If what you mean by the above is u...

Does NoScript block JScript in local files
I have software that has locally installed Help files which are not working, and the vendor claims there are no known problems. I've looked through the Help sub directory attempting to find the main Help page but can not seem to find an obvious one (like Index.htm, ...). and there are also quite a f...

Re: NoScript blocks site in Whitelist
OK, I'll plan to do that once I can confirm the problem still exists. As I noted above, once I did the forbid then allow routine the error disappeared. I confirmed today that I can really share my desktop so until (and if) the problem returns I will not do anything. I'll post again if it does occur ...

Re: NoScript blocks site in Whitelist
Yes they do use Flash and apparently they also use Java. The Desktop Sharing component needs Java 1.6 which I didn't have on my system at the time so I upgraded it. The problem appeared some time after I did the upgrade. I should had mentioned all of this in my first post but I hadn't connected the ...

Re: Scripts blocked from running
Just as an update, I haven't had the original problem since installing 1.9.3.3. I was just pointing out that any settings that are enabled or disabled may have an affect on how a page responds (or not) Sorry Rube, I misunderstood what you were stating, I thought you were suggesting that I change a p...

[RESOLVED] NoScript blocks site in Whitelist
Hello: NoScript version 1.9.3.3 on Windows/XP/SP3 NoScript is blocking a site that is in my white list from executing Java. The site URL is http://vyew.com/ . It is Webex like freeware (collaboration, desktop sharing, ...) and can be easily accessed and used by just registering. It does not install ...

Re: Scripts blocked from running
An update to my previous post just above. I went back to the site which I had left in a "links not working, NoScript enabled" state at the time of my previous post. When I disabled NoScript the links started working without having to refresh the page. I tried this several times and could m...

Re: Scripts blocked from running
Hi: Since my last post and through several upgrades to NoScript everything has been fine, until today that is. The site in question (my original post) started acting up again. After navigating through the site using the links all of a sudden they stopped working, completely, all of them this time. I...

Re: Scripts blocked from running
Concerning the release level of NoScript, my Firefox is setup to automatically download updates to my addons but to manually install them, which I always do. I don't know what release level I was at when I reported the latest incident but I'm certain it was current as of that date. Right now I'm on ...

Re: Scripts blocked from running
Yes, the scripts that are not running are in the contrarian... domain. I did try refreshing the page after re-enabling NoScript and the scripts did not work, however I did not have to refresh the page to get the scripts to work after disabling NoScript. I'm not sure what you are asking me, but I did...
