Re: Unable to allow media elements to display on this page
That video doesn't play for me even with NoScript and uBlock Origin completely disabled in Tools > Add-ons and Themes. Using the Chromium page inspector it looks like that content may be served by Akamai, I see references to "akamaized.net" in there, but I don't know enough about modern p...

Unable to allow media elements to display on this page
From time to time I run across pages that seem to have blocked JS but whose domain does not get displayed in NoScript so I cannot un-block it to get some part of the page to be viewable. Today the problem page is this one: https://www.nbcbayarea.com/investigations/san-francisco-apartment-eviction-fi...

Re: Userstyles.org - client-side exception
Because I've used that site before with no problem, and most of the console errors referenced missing "blocked" elements from domains I'm blocking JS from. And since many sites assume that everyone allows JS from Google to run, I figure that's a good place to start, based on past experienc...

Userstyles.org - client-side exception
I block JS on all Google domains by default. Obviously sometimes there is functionality on a page that doesn't work for that reason, and I can selectively enable it if necessary. But today when I went to userstyles.org and entered something in their search box, the whole page crashed to a black scre...

Re: NoScript died and deleted all my settings!
That "guest" post was mine. Fixed :) Thanks for that! Was so weird to have it "block" my post, only to see the post created anonymously instead. I do occasionally clear the cache on Vivaldi on this system, as it occasionally gets some slowdowns which seem to improve a bit after ...

Re: NoScript died and deleted all my settings!
That "guest" post was mine. Your "spam filter" blocked my initial post, and because I actually use NoScript to block Google by default, I didn't see the recaptcha dialog. When I tried to post the comment, I had no idea it had actually logged me out after the captcha fail, yet all...

Re: NoScript died and deleted all my settings!
No, absolutely not: live NoScript settings are completely unrelated to exported files: NoScript cannot even access those files unless explicitly instructed to do so via the [Import] button, because WebExtensions have no permanent filesystem permissions. On the other hand, extensions settings are st...

Re: NoScript died and deleted all my settings!
There's only one event I can think of that may be related to this, but it would still be a NS bug if so. The Mac this is installed on has 2 storage volumes: the main volume where the OS and personal folders are stored, and a volume called "Bulk Data" which I use for large, less-recently us...

NoScript died and deleted all my settings!
Been using NS for many years, it's probably the #1 extension I add to every browser I use on all platforms. (Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, various Chromium and Firefox forks) Lately I've been browsing a lot with a Mac using Vivaldi, and that includes today. In the middle of a browsing session with j...

Re: Even with workaround of allowing File URLs, Cloudflare DDOS protection breaks unless Noscript is disabled.
@Giorgio: Tested with 11.2.22rc1 all the pages I could remember that failed earlier tonight, they are working now. Thanks again! So are you just working around a Chrome bug at this point? (But I keep hitting your "spam filter" here if I try quoting your last post. Had to make an independen...

Re: Even with workaround of allowing File URLs, Cloudflare DDOS protection breaks unless Noscript is disabled.
11.2.21 has gone public in the Chrome Store, you can update or (re)install it from there. Thanks for your patience. Thanks again for your work on this. After spending more time with 11.2.21, I have found that while it does greatly improve matters, I still have issues in some cases. I have attached ...

Re: Even with workaround of allowing File URLs, Cloudflare DDOS protection breaks unless Noscript is disabled.
Sorry for not posting earlier here: I believe the problem is fixed for good in NoScript 11.2.21, which is still waiting for review on the Chrome Store. In the meanwhile you can try it unpacked from https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/releases/tag/11.2.21 Thanks! How do I install it from that? Se...

Re: Even with workaround of allowing File URLs, Cloudflare DDOS protection breaks unless Noscript is disabled.
I can reproduce this problem with NoScript 11.2.19 and the link I posted. Something is very wrong with permissions in the Chromium version of NoScript 11.2.19. [removed various technical details] uBlock Origin is not blocking this request, in fact it's not even seeing it in its logger. I don't have...
