Re: Temporarily enable captcha domains
This is not possible That's all you needed to say, instead of all the editorializing that followed. Neither security nor privacy is a zero-sum game. There are ways to improve both of them which do not make you "100% secure" nor "100% private" yet are still demonstrably useful. A...

[CLOSED] Temporarily enable captcha domains
I don't enable JS on any domains that host captchas by default, to reduce tracking across the web. This necessitates temporarily enabling JS on such domains on sites that A) won't work without them for login purposes, and B) I really need to view/use. After a successful login, I reset temporary perm...

Re: New York Times and "Statsig"
I don't know about this specific site because I don't have an account there, sorry. Speaking generically: if a website is poorly coded, the type of issue you're describing can arise when analytics scripts don't load (regardless of why they don't load - not just user blocking, but also a network err...

Re: "Removed Fennec-specific code"
No problem, and my reply is way more delayed than yours was.Giorgio Maone wrote: ↑Mon Dec 16, 2024 11:25 pm Sorry for the late answer, but as you've hopefully find by yourself that was very very old code applying to an old old version of Fennec.

Thanks for the info.

New York Times and "Statsig"
Recently I've had issues with certain things not working on the NYT website. Sometimes the account login button that normally appears at the top right of an unauthenticated page session does not appear at all. And now it re-prompts me for login in order to comment on an article, and even then it doe...

Re: NoScript locking up Chrome browser
Anyway, version 10.0.3 installed via download & "load unpacked" works as it should again. So my problem will be solved with this. Did you mean version 12.0.3? I'm still having issues intermittently on both Vivaldi and FF. (only tested on macOS so far. But my issues are not lockups, bu...

Re: Chrome warns NoScript may soon no longer be supported
12.0.2 works okay in Chrome & Vivaldi (and possibly Brave & Opera) but not working on some sites on MS Edge as reported here I'm having intermittent problems on various sites on Vivaldi as well. For example, used to be able to get past the Google captcha by enabling www.google.com temporari...

Looks like 12.0.2 has fixed the 12.0.1 problem.
Now to see about the MV3 things..

OK, 12.0.2 seems to fix the problem on Chrome/Chromium. (Vivaldi)

FWIW - tried uninstalling NS, restart browser, reinstall and reimport settings.
No Joy.

Re: Chrome warns NoScript may soon no longer be supported
Looks like v12 was temporarily released (at least for Chrome) and it had a nasty bug so Giorgio rolled it back. (Tho named 12.0.1 to keep the Chrome store happy about version numbers that are not allowed to go "backwards".) Except for me, it has still hosed my copy of Vivaldi despite runni...

Re: Blocking, even though allowed. 12.0
Despite updating to 12.0.1, NS is blocking login to all sorts of sites right now (Amazon, Reddit, the list is a mile long) and the only way I can get around it is to disable blocking globally in NS) Vivaldi 6.9.3447.54 (x86_64, macOS) Pretty much a disaster at this point for me. Hard to troubleshoot...

Re: Chrome warns NoScript may soon no longer be supported
Not sure what is the current status of NoScript regarding Chromium/Chrome's Manifest v3? Looking through the changelog today, it looks like Giorgio is working on MV3-compatible code and perhaps plans to release that in a future v12 version. But he seems to stay very quiet about these things. I thin...

Re: Google Chrome will soon no longer support NoScipt
That's cool! Is there a link somewhere where I can view the steps to implement this registry hack or would you mind posting the steps in this thread? That way I as wells as other Chrome users who wish to do so can still use Noscript until Google pulls the plug. Take a look at the Reddit thread link...

Re: NS & Pale Moon
Doesn't Pale Moon now hard-block NoScript? I thought PM in the last year or two took a U-turn on that hardcore policy on extensions because of all the backlash they got over it. But I haven't followed the news over there much this year. (I don't personally care any more because I got fed up with th...
