no fault of noscript , using 5.1.9 on pale moon 28.7.2. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/70.0 set as google override. new profile without noscript. about:config > javascript.enabled = true > new layout about:config > javascript.enabled = false > mobile view. tried ...

no solution yet.
strangely the google image search displays the old layout with javascript disabled.
and it returns desktop mode results.
no site specific user agent set for google.

my mistake.
after testing google.com.au , i went to google.com. (not com.au)
obviously that went to the mobile mode then.

think you are correct. just something i just saw on each google search result. that is with and without the google override mod. at the end of the url there is always something like this "&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:unofficial" removing that from the url and reload displays the same results...

no , not for search. that was only to load the youtube page from the google homepage with videos instead of a blank page with placeholders. hardly ever go there , just checked by accident. used the internet explorer strings. maybe some from firefox or chrome work better. again , can't test other bro...

in my case the youtube string was needed.

had that happen also the first time i loaded youtube from the top black bar on google. empty page with gray squares. closed the browser and tried again. was asked for some privacy confirmation that time and i was in. did not change anything after addind the three strings. so check if the browser is ...

just right click and select new string.
paste the name and you will be asked to enter the value.
if needed , change the .com to whatever google page you are using.
restart the browser when done and report back with the results please.
