Thank you very much for digging up that link and revealing the native JS blocking that FireFox already has for PDFs. Now I feel comfortable again opening up PDF files in FireFox.

Yes it's safe. If you set that pref to false, NoScript won't be able to allow the scripts you want. Thank you for the confirmation. javascript.enabled : leave it as true ?

I just want to confirm that it's safe to leave javascript.enabled=true in Firefox (about:config area), and I can still feel confident that NoScript will continue to disable javascript for all sites that I don't explicitly whitelist. (Yes, I have "script" unchecked in the Default profile.) ...

Good question. I've wondered similarly. But, I usually don't mind just doing a Temp-Trust selection for Cloudflare, then cruising that 1 website that needs it, then removing the Temp-Trust when I'm done. Sort of a simpeton's workaround I s'pose.
