Re: NoScript block this site, you have to allow scripts globally, even if all sites are allowed

Yes indeed. My profile is less than a month old and I use only one extension: NoScript.

Re: NoScript block this site, you have to allow scripts globally, even if all sites are allowed

I allowed mitsubishi-motors.it and maps.googleapis.com and it seems to work, at least I don't see anything which seems wrong after clicking on a black pin with a letter on the map. I use NoScript 10.0.3.

It's all part of Mozilla's grand plan.
A quote from mozillaZine:
mozillaZine is an independent Mozilla community and advocacy site. We're not affiliated or endorsed by the Mozilla Corporation but we love them just the same.

Re: Testers Wanted: NoScript UX Overhaul by Simply Secure

That's basically a different extension again... I fully agree with barbaz on both points. 1) My best guess about that "Allow affiliated scripts" thing is, that it may be what the current "Set all on this page to Temporarily TRUSTED" is. If my guess is correct, then the new wording won't be an improv...

Re: Firefox new version updates will be more frequent in 2020

I don't believe in these super frequent release cycles (apart from delivering security updates reasonably fast).
Let's see how it works and then decide, if a switch to the ESR version may be appropriate.

The link "viewtopic.php?f=10&t=25260" only has 2 messages, neither of them seem to answer the question. Or is something missing??
This link was a confirmation of the solutions given above and a reminder to the developer that being able to edit the XSS rules is important.

Re: WebExtensions changes coming?

This would be the time to clearly differentiate oneself from Google and a chance to win back many users who have switched to Chrome and want to continue with efficient content blocking. This "immediate" causes too much confusion in that regard.

I don't know any other way than exporting your settings, removing your XSS rule manually, and import the edited file.

Re: How to enable restrictSubdocScripting in NoScript 10?

To me this sounds like a looser policy. I would rather a subdocuments' permissions be granted or restricted separately. If I allow script/frame/images/fonts/etc on a primary page that doesn't necessarily mean I want to allow them on a subdocument. Right? No. It's not about inheriting permissions to...

Re: Clicking placeholder should create temporary permission

Why is that "alternatively"? I'd prefer to simply change the permanent permission to a temporary one. I just wanted to say, that, if it is reasonable that users want a permanent permission nevertheless, it may be a good solution to ask the user similar to the XSS dialog, which lets the user choose ...

Re: Trust root site by default per tab?

If you visit foo.org and trust it temporarily, it is set to temporarily trusted until you either close the browser or reset your temporary permissions. Therefore, if you visit bar.org afterwards, foo.bar will still be trusted, unless you reset its temporary permission before.

Re: Clicking placeholder should create temporary permission

I think the default should be the safer choice for the user, which in my opinion is to temporary allow it. Alternatively, the user may want to choose analogously to the XSS dialog.

Does anyone have any advice on how to ensure I don't get an animated placeholder (or animated anything) again?
There is a solution: Freeze That Snake! (from the developer's blog)

Question concerning the TRUSTED and UNTRUSTED presets and their application to HTTP and HTTPS requests

If I trust trusteddomain.com for HTTP, it will also be trusted for HTTPS, which is exactly what I expect. There is the padlock to switch between trusting a domain for HTTPS only (green padlock) or for both protocols (red padlock). But if I set untrusteddomain.com to UNTRUSTED for HTTPS, the domain u...

Could it be those options were related to the workaround for https://bugzil.la/1532530 that was nuked in 10.6.2 stable? If so do they still have some effect if left alone?
After looking at the commit which removed the workaround, I am quite sure that these options don't have any effect anymore.
