therube, I agree with you ... >about:newtab is a far cry from about:blank (IMO). I AGREE >about:newtab is an abomination (IMO). I AGREE You did this ... >Set 'When Firefox starts' to 'Show a blank page ' >Set 'Home page' to about:blank or to about:newtab That is not quite the exact work-around I use...

Re: Cursor shows Busy when homepage is about:blank

Not sure this problem is dependent on Noscript ... I discovered it many months ago. My solution was to change my homepage (in FF options) to about:newtab See if that works for you. I reproduced the problem (with homepage set to about: blank ), then disabled Noscript ... problem remained. Changed hom...

Re: BUG: NS10 interferes with accessibility.blockautorefresh

I followed the steps provided by tom1, and got a slightly different result ... NoScript 10.1.6.5 Firefox 58.0.2 First, I verified that "accessibility.blockautorefresh" was set to "true". Then, with NoScript enabled , I navigated to: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=firefox I saw a page briefly appear on th...

RFE: Add "Revoke Temporary Permissions" to Options

From what I can tell, the "Revoke Temporary Permissions" button (on the dropdown for any given site) is global ... regardless of which site one is browsing, clicking the "Revoke Temporary Permissions" button in the dropdown for that site will remove temporary permissions for ALL sites. Given that, c...

Re: Identical Entries in Options, One Green and One Red

THANK YOU Pansa for your explanation regarding identical (except for color) entries in the drop down list: Those [identical items in the drop down list that show as Default] aren't redundant. If they are actually set rules, THEN they are redundant. When they [entries in a site's drop down list] show...

Re: Identical Entries in Options, One Green and One Red

I found the same problem (barbaz called it a redundant entry). I opened this site: support.amd.com then clicked the NoScript icon. The dropdown list had a red entry for: ... amd.com and also a black entry for: ... amd.com Both entries were set to the Default button. If one of these entries is redund...

Re: Outlook site with no script new version

I have the same problem. NoScript 10.1.6.3 When I open my outlook.com inbox, the NoScript icon is blue and the tooltip says "blocked 0 of 0 items" ... yet the drop down shows one item TRUSTED and 11 items as DEFAULT (i.e., I assume that DEFAULT items are blocked ... all boxes are UNCHECKED for my DE...

Re: Google sanitary

Maybe you can explain why you don't want to enable JS for Google? I guess I am just a bit paranoid when it comes to security/privacy. I keep the number of permanently trusted sites to a minimum. Only the sites I use (and trust) multiple times per day get permanently trusted. I have UNCHECKED the op...

Re: Google sanitary

Update: installed Google Search Link Fix + allowed Google I want to sanitize my google search results links, but I do not want to trust google (if possible). Re: BUG - when clicking NoScript icon while on a specific pa

barbaz: thanks for the QUICK reply. I wonder if a warning message should be displayed when this happens (i.e., when one is on AMO or Firefox internal page and clicks NoScript icon) ... so other users (who do not browse this forum) will not think the behavior is a bug? Also ... what is your opinion a...

BUG - when clicking NoScript icon while on a specific page

NoScript 10.1.6.2
Firefox 57.0.3
Windows 7

While on this page:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

... if I click the NoScript icon (in the Firefox toolbar), the NoScript Options page opens (instead of a drop down for the given page).

Can anyone else reproduce this bug?

Does anyone else (besides me) want to have a "Revoke Temporary Permissions" button on the Options page?

See my first post in this thread for more details.

Re: Two Bugs related to clicking NoScript icon before page l

Tomatix: Both of the bugs that I reported still occur in v10.1.6 To reproduce the first one: Navigate to a site that only has a few scripts (such as hackademix.net). Before the site is completely loaded, quickly single click the NoScript icon in the Firefox bookmarks bar. You may have to try this a ...
