Just noticed this happens on Soundcloud too. Basically huge script hogging pages have this problem. Also, Youtube's homepage with its giant list of subscriptions in the sidebar takes a while to load, but I'm unsure if that's caused by Noscript. Yes, the functionality is not very good. I don't mind the new aesthetic though. (Even if I would personally prefer the old UI)

It's not bad in itself. It's just that it's rather confusing what's what. Its animations are also a little sluggish and the feedback isn't as good as before. (eg. I really miss the yellow bar at the bottom that tells you scripts are blocked)
