If I am just using trial and error to make it work, how do I know which "trial" sites I "trust" I should NOT be trusting?
Seems to defeat the purpose of having NoScript.
What am I missing?

The new layout is confusing and not working for me. So many options and so many URLs.
On lots of web sites I can not complete purchases and have no idea which and how many "Default" settings need changing to "Trusted"

Thanks for the explanation. Everything is so much more complicated than before. I no longer seem to have a menu from the NoScript icon listing various domains and their status for the page in question.
Is there a difference between an unlocked red icon and a locked red icon?

The menu option "Temporarily Allow All This Page" seems to be missing. Only seeing "Allow Scripts Globally (dangerous)"
I need this option to access some sites I have to use that seem to require me to give permissions all over the place.
Not weird sites I don't need but sites like "MyMedicare.gov ...
