Re: Where is the XSS Exceptions form?
I checked in my prefs.js and I couldn't find any reference to my bank website which NoScript had disabled last year. I have the XSS checkbox checked, so I'm not sure what NoScript is doing. I also discovered that actually NoScript is not blocking the website I'm having problems with - it is in fact ...

Re: Where is the XSS Exceptions form?
Oh, I see - there used to be one before the big upgrade - I remember entering a regular expression for my bank's URL to stop NoScript killing the XSS-style stuff it was doing. I assume that setting is still in the config somewhere since my banking website still works - or maybe not. Is there a setti...

Where is the XSS Exceptions form?
I'm trying to enter an XSS exception for a site where NoScript seems to be blocking successful logins, but I can't find the exceptions page or form in the NoScript options. When I click Settings -> Advanced Tab,all I see is a greyed area with the tabs on top, then a check-box saying "Sanitize c...

Re: NoScript causes a 5 second delay on drop-down box popula
Sadly for its customers like me, the bank's website is poorly coded and desperately needs completely replacing. I can see HTML comments in amongst the HTMl when I am trying to expand a view or something, which give the impression that they are outsourcing the maintenance work. It also gives the impr...

Re: NoScript causes a 5 second delay on drop-down box popula
Hit the nail on the head!
Works fine now.
The whole site is now a lot quicker.
It's a bit user-unfriendly that it was doing this without any warning - or has NoScript got warnings for this that I just turned off at some point ages ago?
Thanks

Re: NoScript causes a 5 second delay on drop-down box popula
It's a bit difficult getting the logs, or rather, working out which logs are relevant - it doesn't just freeze up the drop-down, it freezes the whole FF instance.
There are about a dozen of these:
16:59:20.124 TypeError: can't access dead object 1 tab.js:1620:1
Does that help?

NoScript causes a 5 second delay on drop-down box population
Hello, to use my bank's internet banking website with Firefox, I have to disable NoScript otherwise the website takes 5 seconds to populate the drop-down boxes! Admittedly it is a badly programmed website and I really really hope the bank replaces it, but I've seen this issue for 2 years now. Normal...

Re: cloudfront.net
2) NoScript is not an ad blocker. This side-effect only works if the ads scripts are on a totally different domain than any needed scripts. Yes exactly. I have come across several sites that use Javascript from other domains to load up ads, which they manage to do despite the presense of AdBlocker ...

Re: cloudfront.net
OK, it's good to know what cloudfront.net actually is - and that some sites actually need it to function. My aims with NoScript (and tell me if I'm wasting my time doing it) beyond the security aspect are (1) to increase browser speed by ignoring cruft and (2) to prevent distracting adverts being lo...

cloudfront.net
Hi, already got my main problem solved but while I'm here, I thought I'd ask something that's been bothering me with whitelisting. cloudfront.net keeps occurring all over the net. What is cloudfront.net anyway? A while back I first noticed cloudfront.net because I realised its javascript was crashin...

[RESOLVED] Retrieving my whitelist from the Mozilla profile?
Hi All my laptop just died and I'm currently using a different machine, and getting a new laptop. When this Firefox sync'd, it installed NoScript for me but not my whitelist. I get the idea that FF Sync can delete the whitelist anyway, so maybe that's just as well. Can I find the whitelist in a prop...
