Re: favicon and VPN
browser.chrome.favicons;false browser.chrome.site_icons;false If noscript. ABE.skipBrowserRequests;false, your rules ABE rules work. You can then add favicon.svg But it could have an impact on other requests (barbaz gave the link). userChrome and userContent only hides icons but does not block quer...

Re: favicon and VPN
Sorry, I wasn't being clear. ABE doesn't filter the favicon requests, ABE rules won't have any effect. Please see https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=18905 for more details (and note that I've since replaced SimpleBlock with uBlock Origin) Again, you say this 1 - uBlock Origin ...

Re: favicon and VPN
NoScript is not the right tool to do that - and in fact it tries to distinguish browser requests and not interfere with them. NoScript is a security tool, not a privacy tool. I thought uBlock Origin can block all favicons if you enable behind-the-scene filtering? ABE: Site ^https?://.*/favicon\.ico...

Re: Error sanitizing cookies
That doesn't actually answer the question...but it sounds like this is purely a Firefox issue, not related to NoScript. You'd have to ask Mozilla for help with that. Unless disabling NoScript does actually get it working? I made the tests and the problem is Firefox You can test since you use Linux ...

Re: Linux slave accounts
Just an idea I wanted to bounce off people: Do you think it makes sense to run multiple (per-application?) 'slave' accounts on your operating system? Ie accounts that you can control like puppets, but which have minimal privileges of their own. https://firejail.wordpress.com https://l3net.wordpress...

Re: Block files -> .exe .bat .dll .sh .dmg .cmd .cpl .lnk
Thanks, but I think I'm good there. This is part of the reason I'm using *L*ubuntu and not Ubuntu. In Ubuntu 14.04 I could only partially remove that stuff, but I think I was able to remove it all in a Ubuntu 15.04 VM. Lubuntu (at least the 14.04.1 ISOs) doesn't come with any of it. (And I don't es...

ABE is specifically for filtering HTTP requests. It's a web firewall, not a general-purpose one. FTP is out of scope :( lets search another option Thank you And I missed yet another detail in the rule... Hmm is what you want to not able to even download these manually? Then change Deny INC to Deny & remember to disable that rule when you actually want to download those type of code. (Then it is indeed useful to keep it in its own ruleset.) I need to test your code ... HTTP, FTP, Telnet, Gopher,...
