Re: Firefox deactivates NoScript...and calls it Legacy

Speaking of about:config , on Firefox for Android there's no hotfix, but at least on the Beta which I'm using you can turn off signature verification just like you do in the Tor Browser (xpinstall.signatures.required=false). and thanks again that worked well for Android. I wonder still why and how ...

Re: Firefox deactivates NoScript...and calls it Legacy

If you're experiencing this right now on Firefox, do this for the hotfix to immediately apply (it happened to me minutes ago on my main profile ): Open about:config Turn app.shield.optoutstudies.enabled to true (if false) Turn app.normandy.run_interval_seconds to 1 As soon as you can see all your a...

Re: Firefox deactivates NoScript...and calls it Legacy

Can't resist a simple thank you post!.. NoScript is essential these days and this was a surprise just now.
Great to see a simple fix so promptly. :D

Re: Thanks for the update but the GUI is awful

Well said. If it's not obvious why temporary permissions are important just consider what the likes of facebook and twitter have become. The clickbate emails from Facebook require a login rather than just suggesting updates and then any sensible user doesn't want to blandly allow all tracking.. even...

Firefox freezes on Options.. with a long list

[NoScript Settings - Mozilla Firefox is not responding.] I've had to force Firefox to crash and restart a few times this evening, from going into the list of "Options..." and it stalling. Unclear if that is simply due to the list being a long history but quite likely.. though should not be...

I saw that quick enough but it's hard to make out what order the list is in.

The apparent loss of per tab temporary permissions, is a huge change..
it seems as if there is only the on/off switch now and all lumped into one unsorted list.

x10 yucky interface!.. and where is temporary permissions

Big thanks to the devs for getting the update out.. but DAMN the interface sucks! Bring back the old or wonder at least at the difference.. where's the simple allow and forget temporary permissions?.. The suite of options settings seem to have disappeared.. is it really now just a simple list of sit...

Re: Cannot select to enable a domain beginning with dot

So, it looks like a typo in the page's source code. I should probably just discard that entry as invalid. So long as the browser will consider it invalid. NoScript is a choice about whether the browser does what it does, or not; rather than a choice about what is valid. I expect that's the same out...

Cannot select to enable a domain beginning with dot

NoScript 2.6.9.11rc1 in Firefox 35 for Linux Mint The dropdown list from the NoScript icon suggests ".disqus.com" beginning with a dot, which is unusual and perhaps why I can't enable that temporarily or permanent, where I can others with normal alphanumeric characters starting the domain....
