Cannot finetune NoScript permissions (with ABE) across sites
I want to enable the script "repstatic.it" for the website www.repubblica.it but not on the subdomain espresso.repubblica.it but it seems I'm unable to do that with the following ABE filter (I've followed the guide at https://noscript.net/faq#qa8_10 ): Site repstatic.it Accept from www.rep...

Re: No Script conflicting with "S3.Google Translate" addon
Looks like you need to Temp-Allow the top-level site as well as Allow some google translate domains. Many thanks for the reply barbaz. I've whitelisted translate.google.cn in No Script (translate.googleapis.com and translate.google.com where already there). Regarding the top-level sites I had them ...

No Script conflicting with "S3.Google Translate" addon
I've just installed the S3.Google Translate addon ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/s3google-translator/ ) to enable websites auto-translation under Firefox in a similar fashion to what happens in Google Chrome (for a better explanation of what I'm trying to achieve read the post at h...

Scripts for Batch Download
I'm looking to automatize the way I download files from specific websites. Right now I'm using FlashGot "selection filter" to select the URLs with files inside a webpage I'm looking to download with JDownloader. It works fine but I always need to specify the filtering string (which is alwa...

Re: Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
Cool. Many thanks barbaz, that's a very good and concise explanation of how NoScript can work in tandem with ABP and uBlock. Actually, it is very useful to know.barbaz wrote:Anyway that's probably more information than you wanted to know, but hope it helps.

Re: Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
The SYSTEM ruleset contains a default rule to prevent webpages tampering with your local network, which includes your computer or router. I didn't realize that. My ABE was already disabled (I don't recall if/when I've done it). I'll re-enable it. Thx. But what possible conflicts do you have in mind...

Re: Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
AdBlock Pro Now that would explain why the ABE stuff didn't work, wouldn't it? I've disabled completely ABP before testing with ABE. disabling ABE. Why? Because this was the only thing I was using ABE for. What happened when you just remove the rules related to this? By removing these ABE rules I d...

Re: Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
I would suggest that your Site line might need tweaking. You probably want to include googlesyndication. Also, doubleclick. net Additionally, try duplicating the Site line into the Accept line: Site .googletagservices.com .googleadservices.com .doubleclick.com Accept from www.do-not-block.com .goog...

Re: Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
Active content blocking is much more than just blocking external .js files. This is how to emulate it in ABE: Site .googletagservices.com .googleadservices.com .doubleclick.com Accept from www.do-not-block.com Deny INCLUSION(SCRIPT, OBJ, FONT, XHR, MEDIA) Sandbox Many thanks barbaz for your reply b...

[RESOLVED] Block Javascripts with ABE: Websites keep loading
I'm having a problem in blocking some javascripts (Google Ad stuffs) on all websites apart from a specific one (let's call it www.do-not-block.com). I'm using an ABE rule which is working as expected, however all the websites using the blocked javascripts have their Firefox loading wheel never stopp...

Re: [BUG] FlashGot & JDownloader 2 (Beta) in Mac OSX
Yes, sure. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I haven't been that clear. I know that "normally" I need to use the quotas "..." in case the path/string has a space. I was just trying to replicate FG behavior manually in the Terminal and then trying to accommodate its needs by changin...

Re: [BUG] FlashGot & JDownloader 2 (Beta) in Mac OSX
Cool that was the issue. Just tested and it is working fine. Many thanks :-) The underscore/no underscore part is because I've made a test on the Terminal, if the folder name is without underscore and I execute the command with such a path I receive back an error, if instead I fix the folder name by...
