Re: Please help! Flash is spreading in NS! My FF is almost I
All sites are evil. NoScript blocks script on EVERY site unless the site is in the default whitelist or unless you've allowed the site. This happens regardless of whether you have actually "blacklisted" (Marked as Untrusted) a site or not. So in that respect, there is nothing you need to ...

Re: Please help! Flash is spreading in NS! My FF is almost I
So again, using No Script, how would you block the ONLY the Flash object at the upper right on this page and nothing else: "Only that particular Flash object or any Flash objects on white-listed sites? If latter, then go to the embeddings tab, check "Apply these restrictions …" and a...

Re: Please help! Flash is spreading in NS! My FF is almost I
I want NO scripts blocked on White sites. That won't happen if you check "Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too", it will just block all the things you checked above on the same setting page. Why is this so confusing? You are saying that the blocking of NO scripts WON'T happen...

Re: Please help! Flash is spreading in NS! My FF is almost I
"I don't quite get what you mean..." OK, maybe i am confusing things. Can you assist in accomplishing this: I want Flash blocked on all White AND Black sites. I want to be able to enable Flash on Black and White, once, per URL, per browser session. I want ALL OTHER scripts blocked on Black...

[SOLVED] Please help! Flash is spreading in NS!
I have tried the General part of the forum, and got no specific answers. More people post on this section so I am trying again to get a solution. I have NS 2.1.2.6, FF3.6.21, running Ubuntu Lucid Linux. Within the past month I have been seeing Flash adverts on sites where they used to be blocked. Fi...

Re: Every once in a while, I still see Flash objects. Why?
Giorgio, OK that is a workaround, but then you may as well remove the entire "trusted/"untrusted" feature; this renders it moot. While maybe I am too vocal in a seperate Flash configuration for NS, I am more bothered why only A FEW sites pass Flash, while a MAJORITY of others - and th...

Re: Every once in a while, I still see Flash objects. Why?
It's getting more annoying now - one of my daily sites that used to be pretty "clean" now added a Flash banner that isn't being filtered out....
http://news.yahoo.com/
So everyone else, how would you get that banner removed from this page.

Re: Every once in a while, I still see Flash objects. Why?
"mostly means Flash." Ok, but what else or what not? As I see it, if "A" blocks everything, but "B" only blocks something, while the same terms and criteria are understood, then there's noagreement on "what" is blocked. More literally, I presume that if I stop...

Re: NoScript Options Oddity
Over a month later and no reply - I hate it, too.
But, FWIW, I don't see what you are saying - your image looks "normal" to me.
I it still an issue, whatever it was - if so, can you add an arrow or something to highlight the issue in your image?

Re: Every once in a while, I still see Flash objects. Why?
But I do NOT want to exclude EVERY 'scripted thing" from my known good sites!!! OK, so a specific option to "Forbid Flash and it's related content; cookies and scripts for all sites" would be a very welcome thing. :) Otherwise there's a fundamental flaw in the system if "some&quo...

Every once in a while, I still see Flash objects. Why?
NS 2.1.2.6, FF3.6.20, Ubuntu Lucid Linux. Occasionally an annoying Flash object appears - harping products, or telling me something I already know or just jumps and screams "look at meeee!" Here's one, upper right. Regardless of the content, I don't want to be bothered by flash objects. No...

Re: Can "Forbid Adobe Flash" be ADDED to Trusted/Whitelisted
Yes, but since Flash is "such" a n annoyance I thought it may "Deserve" its own config settings - I don't want to block it ALONG with Java Iframes and Other Plugins, too - as that's already blocked for non-whitelisted sites. For whitelisted sites as I prefer a default to be "...

Re: Can "Forbid Adobe Flash" be ADDED to Trusted/Whitelisted
...Confused... Flashblock just "Stops" all Flash and replaces it with a " clickable placeholder" an arrow in a circle. It does nothing else and if you enable the "arrows" it becomes transparent. What would be nice for NoScript is just the ability to block Flash on ALL s...

Re: Can "Forbid Adobe Flash" be ADDED to Trusted/Whitelisted
Yes, but that's a completely different issue. And it's easy to enable/disable plugins from the "Tools/Add-ons" dialog anyway.

Can "Forbid Adobe Flash" be ADDED to Trusted/Whitelisted?
Somewhere in the NoScript Options config dialog? This one small change would eliminate the need for any "Flashblocker" add-ons or extensions. No Script nicely allows immediate allowing of things defaulted as blocked already, and any temporary need for this annoying Internet "feature&q...
