Re: turn off the "blocked objects" feature

I'm sorry, I did not get an e-mail alert, and between working 2 jobs and just having had a six-day, 56 hour week I forgot about the post. I haven't seen a clickjack in the time since, and it seemed to have stopped blocking archive.org's stuff, but I haven't done extensive testing yet. It seems I'm s...

turn off the "blocked objects" feature

I'm still using the older version of Firefox because too many of my essential extensions are not supported under the new system. As far as I'm concerned it is as big or bigger a change than the move from Mozilla to Firefox a decade ago. In any case, back in this thread I talked about blocked objects...

PERMANENTLY allow blocked objects

I was referred to some movies on a specific site, but various things are broken due to NoScript. Especially the player control. I can get the site working by "temporarily allowing" things from the "blocked objects" menu, but I have to do that every time I visit the site or at lea...

Forbid Youtube on one specific site, allow elsewhere

For reasons beyond my comprehension, if somebody posts a link using the media tags or whatever to sufficientvelocity.com, it causes Firefox to consume 25% of the CPU and slow to a crawl. The whole computer is noticeably slower, which does not jive with what Task Manager tells me of only 25% of the C...

cannot open HTML file on my hard drive

I have checked the option advanced->trusted->allow local links. Yet I cannot open a saved story in HTML format on my hard drive in the browser, instead about:blank opens, nor can I browse the directory structure of the E partition with FILE:///e:/ff/ or just the root directory (dropping the ff) The ...

Re: Explination how to whitelist watching videos on nbc?

Sorry, somehow I glossed over the line above the code tag, I see now where to add it. I would not have thought to check about:config, I was looking at the NoSquint options. I tend to think of about:config as being only for Firefox.

Re: Explination how to whitelist watching videos on nbc?

What I can't figure out is HOW to put in an exception for the clearclick. Where do I put the exception in such a way that it is made permanent, and not just temporary until I close the browser? With this site, to make a permanent exception for JavaScript (not this clearclick thing) I would click on ...

Re: Explination how to whitelist watching videos on nbc?

I guess the id is 721656. I saw nothing about "report id", just a "report" button, so I had no idea what he was talking about. https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/608/32075553844_e2803f5a67_o.jpg Interestingly enough, it DOES remember if I uncheck the box until the next time I exit or ...

Re: Explination how to whitelist watching videos on nbc?

Your response was extremely cryptic and unhelpful.
How does that help me stop this from appearing every time I play a video on NBC.com?

Explination how to whitelist watching videos on nbc?

I missed an episode of SNL and tried to watch it on www.nbc.com. However, when I play the video in full screen, I get interrupted by the anti-clickjacking alert. Is there any way to whitelist the site so I don't have to deal with this pop-up this every time I play a video on that site? The anti-clic...

adjust when "scripts currenly forbidden" appears

For some 3rd party scripts like translate.googleapis.com, I need it on a select few sites, others I don't want it to run. However, fanfiction.net is one such site, and the "scripts currently forbidden" is annoying to pop up every time. I don't want to add it to "untrusted", but I...

Re: Can I blacklist a host but whitelist the rest of the dom

Thank you, that seems to be working.

Sorry to be a bit of a pain. TTH seems to be one of the few sites that actually use the host.domain.toplevel format the way they are officially defined these days.

Re: Can I blacklist a host but whitelist the rest of the dom

How do I do this? Apparently all scripts are for tthfanfic.org and I can't see a way to manually add forums.tthfanfic.org to the untrusted list. What I want is for javascript to be disabled when viewing a page on forum.tthfanifc.org, although apparently it loads scripts from tthfanfic.org. I need sc...

Can I blacklist a host but whitelist the rest of the domain?

On tthfanfic.org aka Twisting the Hellmouth, the forum has some annoying scripts that steal focus, but I don't see any other impairment of function disabling JavaScript. However, JavaScript is absolutely necessary everywhere else on the site. Is there a way to get NoScript to blacklist forums.tthfan...
