storage-sync.sqlite vs. prefs.js
Just asking: NoScript is saving settings in file "storage-sync.sqlite" Is this file "storage-sync.sqlite" for NoScript only? What about the fat old entry user_pref("capability.policy.maonoscript.sites") in prefs.js / about:config? Is it obsolete and may be deleted? If y...

Thank you!
In all this turmoil, I just want to say a big fat THANK YOU! Thank you senior members like barbaz et al for your patience and time you spend reading and answering the many current questions, polites and rude ones, while Giorgio is undoubtful frantically coding away… Most of all THANK YOU Giorgio f...

Re: myepp.dhl.com still not working with NS 10.1.3c3
Hmm… difficult to decide. We will definitely need a guide with some recommendations and explanations what the dangers of these respective options are. To clarify: the settings under Default / Trusted / Untrusted are global settings, the same for all sites. But what about custom? Is it just a four...

Re: myepp.dhl.com still not working with NS 10.1.3c3
AFAIK I went directly from 10.1.2 to 10.1.3c3 (no rc). But yes, that was it: clicking again on Trusted did show that nothing was allowed except scripts! (Re-)Enabled everything under Trusted — now it works again. Thank you! BTW, what should sensibly be allowed for Default? For Untrusted, nothing sho...

[SOLVED] myepp.dhl.com still not working with NS 10.1.3c3
Sorry to report that https://myepp.dhl.com/gw/premiumweb/public/Login.action is still not working with NS 10.1.3c3 / FF 57.0 (in Win10 and Linux). Unfortunately this is a private login page — after logging in one has to enter an EPP Code and Post Code and click a button to retrieve customer data. Af...

Re: New noscript interface
Sorry, but the current state of NS's UI is absolutely unusable. I just can set permissions very cumbersomely, in a private window not at all, and I've found no way to all other preferences of NS. Since there is no answer from Giorgio on this thread yet, I take it that he is working very intensely on...

Re: FF57 - NoScript broken in "Private Window"
Same here… in the private window the NS button is not working at all. Using FF57.0 on LMDE Mate, one standard FF window plus one private FF window (the purple mask one). Plus, in the standard window the NS button just lists the permissions for the current site, no other preferences, and in a quite c...

Re: [FIX] Fx 56 - NoScript icon disappeared on 5.1.2 update
Also got this problem on several similarly installed LMDE Linux Mint Debian Edition / Mate machines with FF 56.0 and NS 5.1.2. For me, the quickest workaround —without restarting FF— is to reinstall NS: opening https://noscript.net/ and clicking on the Install button. Did this problem maybe start wi...

Re: Local links now download to temporary folder
Posted over at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3026078&p=14725328#p14725328 , no enlightenment yet. Could this be some odd Win10 issue, not even a FF problem? How does FF decide whether to download first (from a WWW http://… link) or just pass the file:///… link to the re...

Re: Local links now download to temporary folder
Sorry for the delay, other trouble… Disabled NoScript: still downloading to Temp. Started FF with -safe-mode: still downloading to Temp. So this seems not connected to NoScript. But what then? And why is the local server not listed in NoScript? Did a fresh clean install of FF with empty profile, ...

Re: Allow local links seems not to work any more
See https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=22308#p85113 : You need to set those five lines in prefs.js (specific for your web server, of course) user_pref("noscript.policynames", "localfilelinks"); user_pref("capability.policy.localfilelinks.checkloaduri.en...

Re: Local links now download to temporary folder
This might be connected to https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22355 and https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=16994 . On the “bad” machines (downloading) NoScript shows the »blocked« icon and does not list the current local server, but it does allow (!) its sc...

Just at the moment there seem to be a few difficulties with the latest changes in FF50 but I trust in Giorgio to resolve this.

Local links now download to temporary folder
I'm not sure whether this is an issue with NoScript or Firefox or just an obscure setting: We use local links like file:///S:/somepath/somedoc.odt to documents on our local file server in web pages on our local web server. These links used to directly open the documents on the file server as de...

Re: [FIXED] file:/// bookmarks and "home" button now blocked
Workaround confirmed — thank you! @ Giorgio: Was/is NoScript Options|Advanced|Allow local links working again at all? We do need local File:///…someDocument links from web pages on our intranet web server to our intranet file server. Since a long time this is disabled in Firefox by default for good ...
