I've installed the latest release and the problem seems to be solved.

I installed the development version from the link as requested. I found that clicking on a bookmark link would produce the double tone (as expected) but clicking on the same bookmark link again will only produce a single tone. I installed https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/634 - hope that's the same one Heard no tone for mouse click only, and couldn't find a preference for that alone, the one nearest it is "website link clicked event". I can confirm the double tone on bookmark selection with the mou...
