Re: Would you trust this horrid website?
I know that people get really touchy about their own web sites, but yeah; No Script's is horribly ugly. Suggestions to the thread starter: If you are a web designer, offer a gratis redesign to il dottore . You get a credit at the bottom of the page (free advertising for you). Or, you can make a big ...

So, are there any plans to update this script?

Re: Is all javascript really blocked?
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) allows for a lot of "animated" stuff to be done entirely without Javascript.
Re: Scary
Thank you for this important clarification. I hope I hadn't offended il dottore Maone by implying that I use NoScript just as a dumb toggle to turn Javascript off/on, I realize it's much, much more powerful than that.Alan Baxter wrote:Allowing geek.com would not have let the exploit through.

Scary
The way I had been using NoScript was, disallow Javascript by default on every new web page. Then, after I come to the conclusion that the website is legitimate, whitelist it. Now comes a report from a security researcher that even well-known websites from reputable publishers may spread malware. ht...

MozillaZine Forum Helper
Thank you for the Greasemonkey script for Mozillazine forum. I was wondering what it does so I looked at it in Notepad but could not figure it out. Actually I only want to know one thing: should it be used in conjunction with NoScript:Allow or with NoScript:Deny on the Mozillazine site?

Re: Forbidden 403:CSRF verification failed; aborted
Well, it's apparently another extension that interferes. I just went there again but this time using another Firefox profile (this one has the Torbutton extension), again with NoScript allowing the page, and I was able to leave a comment on the add-on. So, not a NoScript problem. Perhaps a rangebloc...

Re: Forbidden 403:CSRF verification failed; aborted
It happened again just now. Forgot to mention, it happens only when I try to post a review on an add-on. I can view all pages on the Mozilla Add-Ons site without problems, and I can log in with my MAO user account, so I'm not banned. Also, I am not blocking cookies (except third-party) and I do not ...

Re: Forbidden 403:CSRF verification failed; aborted
I am getting the exact same error message on Mozilla Add-ons just now. Only, in my case "Forbid web bugs" is NOT checked in NoScript. Then I thought, maybe it's Ghostery. But the Ghostery icon stays gray (i.e., "no trackers detected") and even when I specifically whitelist addons...

Re: ClearCloud?
I would like to second Tom T.'s recommendation of the MVPS HOSTS file. Have been installing the updates every month and never had any trouble with it. Its big advantage is that it isn't tied to any specific browser but works with every single one of your Internet-facing applications. NoScript; regul...

Re: Facebook problem
Hello, thank you for taking the time to write that. I do not get the message you quoted from Facebook, by the way. In HTTPS Everywhere, I turned off the two rules for Facebook and Facebook+ [Apps], restarted Firefox, the page still won't load. It just cycles very rapidly between facebook.com and sta...

Facebook problem
Probably this question is already answered somewhere but I did not find it via forum search or looking at the FAQ. I cannot get to a Facebook page, there appears to be some sort of infinite loop going on, only the top part of the page loads and the rest never completes. Relevant extensions: NoScript...

Re: Tor (split from NoScript Didn't Block Rogue Site)
Slightly O/T, but you might want to research some of the recent stuff on the Net about TOR. Apparently, it's not as private or anonymous as claimed, and weaknesses are being found. I'm not a user and so didn't dig deeply, but if you google etc., you'll find lots of stuff. Might make you want to rec...

Re: NoScript Didn't Block Rogue Site
I was recently searching something on Google and clicked on a link that took me to a site that redirected me to a malicious rogue site To protect yourself specifically against this kind of threat, you may want to look into the Search Engine Security (SES) extension for Firefox from Zscaler: http://...

Re: Permissions for EPUB books
Hmm, I think it has to do with the settings in the EPUB add-on. In the Miscellaneous tab, there are two fields, empty by default, where you can put checkmarks for: Activate Javascript Activate plug-ins And when these checkmarks are put in and Firefox is restarted, hovering over the NoScript icon giv...
