Re: NoScript takes up over 100% of CPU

11.2. 10 is identical to 11.2.10rc1, except for the version number.

Re: Does NoScript Need To Be Added to MS Edge Store

Does https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/commit/64935445ff385a0a3a80285a643e90aa67024933 mean this is now happening? (Couldn't find anything on noscript.net/getit nor in a quick look through the Edge store, but I don't have access to my actual Edgium/Win10 atm.) It's here , but I'm not sure I sh...

Re: processor spikes

Hi, "Does it happen on any site or just on specific web pages?" It happens on any website when we use windows internal "save as" function. You mean Brave 's "Save as (ctrl+S)" feature from the context menu, right? Could you please check whether the problem persists with NoScript 11.2.10rc1 here ?

Re: processor spikes

It could very well be the same issue as viewtopic.php?p=104251#p104251
Please check https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/ ... -884539982 and let me know the results, thanks.

Re: processor spikes

Other question: does the spike go away when you close the current tab (or all tabs)?

Re: processor spikes

Hello, I don't need "proof". However, since I cannot reproduce this specific issue (even though I'm investigating probably related and reproducible Chromium-specific issues on page transitions), could you provide some more information? Does it happen on any site or just on specific web pages? What a...

Was able to catch it and profile it, hopefully this helps: https://github.com/hackademix/noscript/issues/205. Let me know if I can do/share anything else.
That's extremely helpful, thank you!

Re: NoScript takes up over 100% of CPU

Update: I've managed to reproduce on Windows 10. Abnormal and sustained CPU spike in the NoScript process by just opening the first of the posts (in stark contrast of what I've seen on Linux). Unfortunately, trying to using the devtools profiler just added mystery to this issue: over 12 seconds of p...

Re: How Can Noscript Help Me?

Very shortly: NoScript enhances the security of Firefox by reducing its attack surface to the sites you trust. Without NoScript, any website you land on, either willingly or by accident, and any 3rd party origin it pulls scripts from (dozens for page these days) can launch an attack: against your lo...

Re: NoScript takes up over 100% of CPU

Noticed same 100% CPU usage issue from last week on both of MacOS and Win10. Setup: Win10, Chrome 91.0.4472.124, NoScript 11.2.9 Thank you very much for your detailed reproduction steps. Unfortunately I didn't manage to reproduce at all on my side (NoScript's process CPU staid literally at 0), with...

Re: How to change settings without auto-reloading?

Currently you can't, sorry (quite a rare use case).
But couldn't you just change the settings before logging in, or provide permanent permissions?

After killing the process, Google Chrome told me that NoScript quit. Also after removing the plugin everything went back to normal.
OK, could you try to reproduce (or tell me how to reproduce) and give me the exact message Chrome gives you? Thanks.

After killing the process, it turns out that the PID was for NoScript.
Could you tell me how exactly did you determine this? Browser extensions don't have an identifiable PID of theirs, AFAIK...

How do you measure this simple ping, exactly? Thanks.
