Re: How to manually suspend Firefox extension's background script?
Back to the original subject of this thread, digging through Firefox source code turned up something interesting: manually requesting immediate suspend of the background script. Turns out that in about:debugging, for Temporary extensions , there is a button to "Terminate background script"...

Re: How to manually suspend Firefox extension's background script?
What's worse is that now in order to inject user-scripts into the page, you have to put it in developer mode, I wasn't aware Firefox had a "developer mode" that could be put on and off? Although the Firefox builds I use have Firefox Developer Edition stuff enabled at build time, so maybe ...

Re: All my custom website permissions have been lost (10.1.6.3)
enabling a settings sync feature could help prevent this issue in the future. Oh dear, what a reckless suggestion. If you're going to try to help people, please first actually know what you're talking about. Enabling Sync is known to CAUSE the same outcome as this issue for some people. And a NoScr...

Re: Script not enabled for trusted
If I add site as trusted the default trusted has all boxes enabled but not script. The script checkbox is disabled but checked . Javascript is always allowed for Trusted sites. For custom site what is ANY SITE for Enable these capabilities when top page matches? "top page" = the URL shown...

Looks like that huge list just boils down to blocking these two domains + their subdomains? -
Code: Select all

Re: Allow FB scripts only on facebook.com?
I recently started using this feature but I've run into a problem where the single domain set under custom reverts to 'any site'. I haven't been able to pin down a specific cause or timing of when that happens. Any idea how to keep that from happening? That is not a setting, it's a selector for whi...

Re: forum website goes to mobile look after Feb 5 update
I think an error in my process was testing FF vs FF+NS using two different profiles. I don't like to have to bounce NS on and off, so I just use two different profiles for with and without NS. I didn't try my normal profile with NS disabled. I probably would have seen the errant behavior and realiz...

Re: forum website goes to mobile look after Feb 5 update
I don't seem to be able to reproduce this, I only get one interface on that site and it looks like a desktop site to me? As a test, please create a new, clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript latest development build , leaving all the defaults. Does the problem still exist? If not, try ex...

Re: 12.1.1 not working
Do you have a repository of past versions of NoScript. I would like to downgrade until a fix can be provided. Using the latest version of Chrome. Thanks What NoScript version would you like to downgrade to? You can get 11.4.44 at https://noscript.net/getit/#nonstore-versions-for-chromium , and look...

Re: please enable Javascript or upgrade to a modern web browser
For what purpose(s) did you install NoScript? NoScript blocks Javascript and other active content by default so that all active content that runs in your browser comes from origin(s) where you need it and which you trust enough to run on your computer. NoScript's default configuration is not "s...

Re: [Resolved]NoScript could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled
Just a random local slow startup bug that hit it or something else I should look into in case it happens again? I can't figure out what caused it this time as nothing like that has happened in the past. Answering that question would probably require seeing the Browser Console messages at the time t...
