Re: Noscript Breaking a Website despite Everything 'Trusted'

You can do that, however there is no security advantage to un-checking the "unrestricted CSS" option on script-allowed sites as discussed before in other threads. If a site wants to do that type of attack, and you allow its Javascript, it will just do it with Javascript since JS provides many easier...

I agree that this should be more visible. Also, I think that this setting should not be permanent, but should be deactivated when the browser is closed.

Re: Cannot access site with NoScript enabled

Thanks Guest. I suppose that Barbaz was a bit frustrated after trying to explain this too many times Not frustration, but trying to explain it with a connection to the OP's writing. Sorry it didn't work this time. There is no - button. You can achieve the desired effect just setting the site to Defa...

Re: Feature Request: Cookie Blocking / Cookies Control

NoScript is a security tool, not a privacy tool. There is no security advantage to blocking cookies solely by which site is setting them.

In case you're thinking this because NoScript Classic had a feature dealing with cookies, that control was only what's described in FAQ 6.4.

I asked why there is no minus symbol - you can't delete entries, only add more.
You can delete entries and I explained how in my previous post -

set a site to Default, it will then be gone when you close or reload NoScript Options page.
What part wasn't clear?

Re: Cannot access site with NoScript enabled

Question is, why didn't it show up on its own? No idea. Usually these cases are because there is no active content from the required site on the error page you get redirected to, but according to uBlock Origin that was not the case here. (This type issue is exactly why the feature request in https:...

Re: Question about ABE & using Noscript in combination with Firejail

is the lack of ABE feature in the current version of Noscript bad for security ? It is less secure than not having it. FYI, ABE will be coming back in NoScript Webext. In the mean time, you can get some local network protection by using Port Authority . Using Noscript in combination with Firejail I...

Thanks fatboy. I think I need to review my about:config customisations in light of that section.

Re: The Most Common User Agents

Is anyone else having trouble getting through this site's DoS protection in the last few months? Something in my prefs.js is resulting in it just endlessly reloading the DoS checker page. It works if I clear out all the user set prefs starting with "dom." and then restart with purgecaches, but I hav...
