Re: Issue with Twitter/X ads remaining

NoScript is not an ad blocker. Any ad blocking it happens to do is only a side effect of its security functionality.

If uBlock Origin is working to block the ads you don't want to see, just use uBlock Origin. You don't need to disable NoScript for this, you can use both extensions together.

Re: network.trr.excluded-domains

NoScript has no access to that setting at all. There is no WebExtensions API to either read or alter that value.

Re: deploy and manage Noscript using GPO

Assuming your Edge browser is where you want to deploy NoScript, deploying using GPO looks possible. I don't think managing NoScript using GPO is possible unless NoScript adds support for storage.managed, which has been requested before - viewtopic.php?t=25352

Blank Cross-tab identity leak protection dialog

NoScript 11.4.30rc1 Firefox 127.0 While trying to use Ctrl-Shift-T to reopen a closed tab, NoScript was blocking this, and showing a blank (not filled out) Cross-tab identity leak protection prompt where none of the controls were clickable. Caught this message in Browser Console - [NoScript] undefin...

Re: PM x64 33.x crash with noscript

Just so you know, if you change the NoScript's "GUID" (in install.rdf, in noscript...xpi), NoScript will install in current PaleMoon. "Install" does not change any potential negative consequences (like PM crashing), ... but OP started this thread because they do get the crash, s...

Re: Request to support Firefox Containers

I know there is already a topic on this, but I cannot post anything there because of antispam protection. It's trying to tell you that isn't the correct thread to post in :P You are asking for Firefox Containers support, while the thread you linked is requesting support for the Firefox Multi-Accoun...

Re: NoScript blocks scripts on local page even after temporary allowing them

I'm using Firefox 125.0.2 on Xubuntu and I'm unable to reproduce this. Not sure what to look for in the page's JS working, but I'm not seeing the CSP errors when scripts are allowed for the page, and its CSS is loading correctly. What NoScript version are you using? Do you have some other extension ...

Re: Security and Privacy Information "feature" driving me nuts

at least just use a normal arrow or hand cursor. Please, please, someone tell me threre's a way. To get a hand cursor, you could try this code in userContent.css - @-moz-document url-prefix("moz-extension://YOUR-UUID-FOR-NOSCRIPT/") { .site .url .domain { cursor: pointer !important; } } r...

Re: Malicious code in XZ supply chain and releases

Now this is interesting: Someone is making the point that because affected versions of xz-utils are GPL-licensed, the malware author and the xz-utils project are both legally required to provide the full source code for the malware (which was distributed only in obfuscated binary form) - github.com/...

Re: Proposal to default-allow Server-Side Rendering frameworks' client helper libraries

Took a quick look into htmx and Phoenix LiveView, and their events support seems enough to perform clickjacking attacks that would not be possible on truly scriptless pages. In NoScript's security model, this should not be allowed on every website by default, it would be appropriate to have to set w...

Re: Proposal to default-allow Server-Side Rendering frameworks' client helper libraries

I use NoScript because I want to protect myself from malicious websites, advertising and analytics and browser fingerprinting, etc. And the proposal you've outlined would harm NoScript's ability to help these purposes. The scripts would have to be downloaded to verify the hash, which right there op...
