[RESOLVED] Which input method to add sites to HTTPS list?

When inputting site names to always use HTTPS at for the Behavior and Cookies tabs what should separate different sites (comma+space, just a "comma", just a "space", hard-return)? bank1.com, bank2.com, bank3.com bank1.com,bank2.com,bank3.com bank1.com bank2.com bank3.com bank1.co...

Re: Giorgio (& others) why do you use the OS you use?

I mostly use Windows 7 just because it came preinstalled with my laptop and it's much lighter on its battery than Ubuntu (which would be my preferred choice otherwise), because of well known Linux power saving bugs. I spoke with Ubuntu developers about this. Lots of folks were having problems with ...

Re: Giorgio (& others) why do you use the OS you use?

The same licensing issue cost Sony's Betamax VCR system to lose out to JVC's VHS, because JVC (formerly Japan Victor Corporation, a subsidiary of RCA) would license VHS to anyone, while Sony kept its grip on Betamax. The quality of a Betamax image was better, but VHS machines dropped in price so ra...

Giorgio (& others) why do you use the OS you use?

I was wondering why you guys use the operating system that you use. In the NoScript forum there's a lot of talk comparing Firefox and Chrome. Many people choose Firefox because it has NoScript. Are there some core reasons why you choose the OS you do? **I'm not trying to start a flame war or anythin...

Should I forbid <FRAME> & <IFRAME>?

I'm trying to figure out whether I should forbid <FRAME> & <IFRAME>. These are allowed on a default NoScript install. I read the FAQ on this. But it makes it sound like because of NoScript updates I can enable <IFRAME> without any problems. It says nothing about the <FRAME> option. Could someone...

Re: Noscript for Google Chrome?

> Memory consumption is dramatically lower A lower "number" is not necessarily "better". Agreed. But most complaints in the past were referring to the fact that 1. FF did not free up memory when tabs were closed, and 2. memory consumption steadily increased over several hours pa...

Re: Noscript for Google Chrome?

Just a quick, personal response: I'm reading this thread because I've just been forced to bail out of Firefox and start using Chrome. I hope this is temporary (I'm no fan of Google as a business), but for now I have little choice*. It seems that FF6 has a significant memory leak somewhere in the co...

Set Flash for "click-to-play" but otherwise Allow Scripts?

Is it possible to set the Scripts Globally Allowed setting but still selectively block content? Specifically, I was wondering if I could block Flash so that it is "click-to-play" on website but the Scripts Globally Allowed setting is enabled. Is this possible? If so, how exactly do I confi...

Re: Noscript for Google Chrome?

This post is in response to Giorgio's question about what makes Chrome a better choice for some people. I have switched to Chrome full-time. However, I long to return to Firefox ultimately because I like Mozilla philosophy and the company. I post this in the hopes that others will read it (hopefully...

Re: Noscript for Google Chrome?

Here's a link to the bug that prevents NoScript from working (please correct this post if I'm wrong!) http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=54257 Guys, once you create an account and login, immediately to the left of where it says "Issue 54257" a star icon will appear. Click o...

Re: Noscript for Google Chrome?

Is NoScript working in Chromium/Chrome a matter of "It will work eventually"--code just needs to be written to allow it to work. Or is there something in Chromium's design that just prevents an extension like NoScript from ever working in it?

please remove "down arrow" from the NoScript Toolbar icon

The NoScript icon (that appears in the Firefox Toolbar Customize options has a down-arrow beside it). Why is this necessary? Clicking the icon and the arrow result in the same dropdown menu. The down-arrow just makes the NoScript icon take up extra space on the toolbar. Can we just have the NoScript...

Re: How come no icons appear in Linux NoScript versions?

Giorgio, I've discovered the no icons problem is NOT a bug within NoScript. Instead it is a result of a setting that users have control over within Ubuntu. It can be found in gconf-editor > desktop > gnome > interface > menus_have_icons. While investigating something else I discovered that this sett...

Re: How come no icons appear in Linux NoScript versions?

I'm using 2.0.9.6.

Have you already fixed the icon size issue in the latest dev build?
