Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problem
Indeed, disabling surrogates solves the performance issue. Hadn't thought of that, sorry.

Re: [RESOLVED] NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problem
Unfortunately, I must report that the problem is not resolved for me. My FF session has 260 tabs and using NS has the effect of having the browser freeze for a few seconds every few seconds, thereby rendering it unusable. I have tried to approximate my situation with a test case of 260 tabs of cnn.c...

Re: NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problems
Ok, I have a test case. 1. I used Firefox 3.6.14 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.14) Gecko/20110218 Firefox/3.6.14). 2. I created a new profile. 3. I disabled all extensions and plugins. 4. I installed NS 2.0.9.8. 5. I opened 50 tabs of cnn.com by executing the following in...

Re: NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problems
You mean there could be incompatibility problems even if all other extensions and plugins are disabled?

Re: NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problems
First of all, sorry if I appear to be MIA, I'm very busy lately. So. I updated NoScript to 2.0.2rc1. Then I tried first disabling, then uninstalling Avast's Web shield. Neither helped. Next, I installled Venkman 0.9.87.4 with the patch mentioned by al_9x. After I started Firefox and everything loade...

Re: NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problems
What' the time resolution of that graph (i.e. how often does the peak happen and how long does it last)? Does downgrading to 1.10 actually help? Does disabling the new WAN IP protection in 2.0 help? Have you got any security software (especially personal firewall or "web shield") which in...

[RESOLVED] NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 performance problems
I use Firefox 3.6.8 and I have around 360 tabs open. Before NoScript 2.0, things were good, but NoScript 2.0 and 2.0.1rc1 cause my browser to hang/become unresponsive/freeze temporarily. I have disabled every extension and plugin except NoScript and this is still the case. After the tabs load and th...
