that seems to have done it; thanks. I had updates set to 'Default" instead of "On."

The only selection in Settings > Advanced is "[x] Sanitize cross-site suspicious requests" Firefox Sync NO. I can not find a setting for "Enable setting permanent permissions in incognito/private tabs" anywhere. This is firefox 88.0.1 for Linux, remember. BTW this is not the only...

[RESOLVED] NoScript sets site as Untrusted, even though it is in the whitelist
NoScript 10.2.1, Firefox 88.0.1, Linuxmint 20.1 I point the browser to https://protonmail.com/; NoScript shows the site as 'untrusted'. I click "Trusted" on the NoScript dropdown I restart Firefox, then go to protonmail.com. Again, the site is marked "Untrusted" I Mark it as trus...
