You use private browsing for a reason, right? So that anyone else using the machine can't see what you've been doing.

Well, if you permanently whitelist a site, then anyone who comes along later can see that you've been there. So it's quite a logical feature if you want privacy. And if you don't, then why are you using Private Browsing?

Yep, can't find the mysterious about:config.
you literally enter "about:config" in the url bar.
you know, the bar where right now it says "viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20372"

ps: why do i need to enter a captcha for a PREVIEW?

I agree. It would be nice to have the option clearly indicated in NoScript's settings. Unless it already is and I'm just too blind to see it :lol:

Thank You. That did it. I run in permanent private browsing. I see why they would do that, but I hope they give you an option so have an option :)

Or you can just leave private mode without touching noscript.volatilePrivatePermissions, but I assume you're in that mode out of choice and not accident.

Sounds like you are in Private mode.

From NoScript changelog:
+ Never show permanent whitelist modifying commands when in
private mode unless the noscript.volatilePrivatePermissions
preference is false (thanks to Tor Project for sponsorship)
Most likely, setting noscript.volatilePrivatePermissions to true will fix your problem.

I just updated to 2.6.9.7 and no longer have the allow option. I can temporarily allow, but not allow. It is selected in the appearance tab of the noscript options. Am I the only one or is this a bug ?
