You use private browsing for a reason, right? So that anyone else using the machine can't see what you've been doing.
Well, if you permanently whitelist a site, then anyone who comes along later can see that you've been there. So it's quite a logical feature if you want privacy. And if you don't, then why are you using Private Browsing?
