Vivaldi's "Web Panels" are like a small persistent 'tab' on the side of your screen. By default it tries to load mobile versions of webpages. It works really well with Twitter.

While NoScript is enabled, everything in the web panel is blocked and no scripts run at all, even from trusted domains. You can see the little circle spinning in the panel- something isn't loading right.

It's really similar to another thing you can do in Vivaldi, "tiling" webpages next to each other. Like in the screenshot below. This is also what Side View does in Firefox.

This does work as expected, everything behaves as it should.

I hope the issue is clearer now! It's not a critical issue or anything, I don't need a Twitter sidebar. But it's clearly unintended behavior, so I thought it was worth reporting!

I wrote another, longer post just now. I typed up descriptions and took screenshots, and had the same issue. I struggled with it for a while, but what's below is about all that passed the spam filter. Sorry! If I can't give a good explanation myself, it's all there search for the terms! Sorry, it's a little frustrating trying to explain something when I don't know what's flagging me.
You could PM an active Mod (me, GµårÐïåñ, skriptimaahinen, or therube) and we would try to post it for you. PMs to forum staff are not spam-filtered, and the spam filter is more lenient on us.

This is a web panel in Vivaldi. There's a little blue circle spinning because it's not loading properly.

Hmm...
Not only don't I understand "web panels", also not sure what you mean by FF's "side view"?

FF has a sidebar.
If it's the sidebar you're talking about, what is opening in the sidebar that needs scripting?

Web panels aren't allowing any scripts at all in Vivaldi, even if the sites are whitelisted. Web panels are kind of like Firefox's side view.

Not sure if this browser is supported, but I thought it couldn't hurt to make some sort of record of the issue. Thanks for your time!
