I could be wrong, but this new version appears to perform the window action "restore" before displaying the no script dialog, when I click the no script button from the toolbar.

Not nescesarily.

I removed some settings from trusted and upgraded from 1.3c3 to 1.3 to check as best as I could
The new version didn't put them back.

So I guess it checks for 3c2 upgrades (which I can't check), to avoid messing with the settings of people who upgrade from 1.3c3.
Which means people who still had their borked settings but already upgraded still will need to fix their settings, I assume.

Same here. Twitter and a bunch of other web pages are looking really bad with web elements just rectangles every where. Makes me want to turn the addon off. I can provide a screenshot of Twitter of how it currently looks broken. It doesn't want to load things past the initial first set of tweets either. I've tried check marking everything under trusted, but it refuses to keep those permissions. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

While I understand the reasoning, the counter argument could be made that it force one of two scenarious:

A) a situation where the 4th button behaves differently than the first three.
B) Hiding the custom options there, too.

Neither seems that much more intuitive than seeing that you can change all four, thus it not really making sense to have "custom" at all, if the other three are customizable per domain, too.
So.... I don't think you are wrong in seeing a problem, but I don't see a problem free solution.

Or put differently: No script always required at least a BIT of experimentation and analysis to get things right, and I don't think seeing that all defaults change when you change one default is too much to ask :/

I still have the empty menu as per this post. I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling noscript, without success.

Further to my comment above ... previously broken reports now all appear to be fine [Office 365, Gmail and Google search]. ;)

"rc" stands for "Release Candidate", which is somewhere between beta and release.

These new NoScript versions in the stable channel are not "rc" but "c". Not sure what this means.

Using Firefox here and numerous things are simply not working:

Office365 errors: "There was an issue with looking up your account. Tap Next to try again." Even more bizarre, try again beyond that Next and I get "Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognise this one." !!!

Also won't log in to Gmail account. [Stalls on Sign In page]

Initially thought there might be something wrong with Office365, so checked the status by doing a Google search ... none of the returns on Google are clickable! [Although will open with a right-click and Open Link in New Tab]

Just updated to 10.1.3c3 ... no change.

Ugh.

Today after my version updated to c3 I started having all kinds of problems with website elements not loading correctly. Specifically I had issues with my work website's custom back end, and when I went to Twitch almost everything was broken elements. I took some screenshots & can provide if needed.
