It doesn't do anything unless you Enable external filters. Unless you really know what you're doing, I suggest you leave that one alone. I leave it at its default setting: unchecked/disabled.
My intent is to block anything and everything unless I explicitly allow it. I'm kind of new to NoScripts so be patient!
Some of the Advanced settings have caused trouble for users that try to do too much with them. Here are some of the ones that frequently cause problems for non-experts if changed from their defaults:
HTTPS > Behavior
- Leave this at it Never unless you're using Tor.
- I find Force the following sites to use HTTPS... useful for some sites that use both http and https.
HTTPS > Cookies
- Leave this unchecked. http://noscript.net/faq#qa6_5

Advanced / external filters question

There is a section called "Do not filter objects coming from these sites:". It has these sites listed: ".hulu.com .youtube.com:. I have tried to remove them but they keep coming back. If I do not activate "external filters" does this create a potential problem? I'm not quite sure what to do here. My intent is to block anything and everything unless I explicitly allow it. I'm kind of new to NoScripts so be patient! Thanks.
