Probably bug 90198: "Fixed background makes scrolling painfully slow"

I added

Code: Select all

to my Adblock Plus filters a long time ago. That fixed the scrolling problem.

Whew!
That was a tough one for me.

Cause I didn't see googleapis.com.
I have google.com blocked, & because of that googleapis.com never showed.

So I could go through & allow ALL the domains & still the picture would not display.
That is cause googleapis.com would not show on the (left-click) menu until after google.com had been allowed AND the (left-click) menu reloaded.

(In some instances, I believe I have seen domains interactively add themselves while the menu was open, but in this case, that does not occur.)

Would noscript.surrogate.* help in this instance? Surrogate Scripts vs Google Analytics

Just to add, whenever allowing googleapi or yahooapi, make sure you know what the site is using it for and what they are loading since they can be malicious and using a third-party service to deliver it to you. This is NOT in direct reference to the site you mentioned, just a general warning statement as many sites delivering porn, cracks and malicious content also use these services. So even when you allow these, make sure you allow them temporarily in case you ever go to a site that uses these to deliver malicious content.

The placeholders are only for blocked content that uses a plugin, e.g. Java, Flash, and Silverlight. I'm looking at the page now and the images I see if I temp allow all aren't plugin content. Exactly which image are you trying to see? I might be able to help you narrow down exactly which site you need to Allow. You shouldn't have to Allow all of them.

Edit: Got it on my first try. I only have to allow googleapis.com and gameplayer.com.au to see the images. Does this help?

No matter what I do I can't seem to get placeholders to show blocked objects even with show placeholders.

There seems to be a big empty space with nothing there. The only way to show these objects is to temp allow all on page. I only want to view one item on the page but since it won't show the items placeholder I can't click it.

Here is an example.

Notice no image placeholders? :(
