Known issue with CCleaner cleaning Firefox 79+ - https://hackademix.net/2020/08/05/cclea ... rk-around/

Best not use any third-party software to clean anything Firefox. Firefox can clean itself.

Noscript 10 and Firefox v85 / CCleaner cache cleanup

by Pascal_j » Wed Apr 14, 2021 7:54 pm

dear all

I've been happily using all those 3 softwares for years.
the clear cache option upon exit is ticked on firefox, and I run ccleaner when shutting down the computer.
it worked great, and Noscript never lost any of my whitelist/blacklist websites.

but then I made an major update to windows 7, firefox and noscript.
ever since, each time I quit firefox and run ccleaner, upon the next boot session I must re-authorize noscript for each of my daily used selected sites.
it is tedious, to say the list.

I browsed the forums but could not find any definite answer.
what happened to the caching system that causes this?
and how to circumvene to it?

thank you very much for any assistance & advice!

Pascal.
