Firefox 74.0
NoScript 11.0.22
Just updated and it's still doing it.
This has been going on for a week or two.
Firefox is set to auto-update plugins, so I don't know on which version it started.
I'll just be browsing the interwebs as usual and then all of a sudden here's some ridiculous monstrosity that has never been on this page before. I look up and the NS icon is missing. Odd. I go to my plugins to see what's wrong. According to that page, it's still enabled. But it's not working.
So I disable it then enable it again. The icon reappears and I can reload the page and the monstrosity is gone.
But how long have I been "surfing", how many pages have I seen, where JavaScript has been allowed to run rampant - but silent - before I came to this page where it is obvious?
I wish I had more information about where and when this happens, but the great thing about NS is that it runs in the background and doesn't need me, so I never even think about it, and don't notice it until it's missing.
I haven't installed any new Extensions in the time when this started happening, so unless an update to another extension, or to NS, caused cross-contamination, it can't be a problem with that. Here's what I have:
Download Sound
DownThemAll!
Honey
I don't care about cookies
LastPass
Livemarks
NoScript
Hopefully this bug can be fixed soon, because I feel vulnerable knowing NS can stop at any moment and I won't know it.
Thanks!
